Four Legs and Fur Animal Society

In Hickory County and the surrounding counties, we assist members of the community with animal welfare issues as time and resources allow.

Being foster based, we accept rescue animals as space permits. To promote pet retention, we operate a food pantry. Founded by Jo Rose, Berta Bryner and Jan Gerstlauer in 2015, Four Legs and Fur's mission is to improve the daily lives of companion animals in and around Hickory County MO.

Forget winning the Super Bowl, the only trophy I want to win is your heart! My name is Sterling Skye! I am a beautiful, 4-year-old, 75 lb., Hound/Pitty mix. I am spunky and love to have a good time! I have great manners, know my training commands and take my treats very gently. I also do great with children school age and up! We could have so much fun playing in the backyard together!

I would prefer to be your only furry love, so no cats or other dogs, please. I'm looking for a home with a fenced yard where we can play and enjoy life! Do you drive a big rig across the country? Wintry weather is forecast for early to mid week (6-8 Jan)...if schools are closed Wednesday (Jan 8), the pantry will be closed as well...weather permitting we will open Thursday...
