A great way to end the year with 3 adoptions🥳

Coors took a little while to warm up to his surroundings here at the shelter but most definitely was happy to see his new owner take him home❤️

Brody was happy as can be to find a home that was fit for him with another hound sibling to howl away with 🩵

Binx was in and out because he’s just so darn cute and cuddly that you can’t help but to fall in love with him💛🖤

Happy holidays!!
Tonight we did our first of many to come Christmas dinners❤️💚

We want to thank our president tom for paying for the staff members food, it was very much appreciated!!

And for all the board members some present and some not we want to thank you for all you do‼️

And for our wonderful staff that works around the clock to take care of the animals, we appreciate you guys more than you’ll ever know❤️🐾

Our sweet dotty girl has been here almost her whole life with barely any visits🥺
Imagine your dog not getting to feel the softness of a carpet between their toes or to lay on a comfy couch so that is why we are asking for her to have some friendly faces to visit☺️

So with that being said this is DOTTYS WEEK‼️
If anyone would like to visit dotty during her birthday week please do so during our business hours without an appointment❤️
🩶Her favorite snacks are peanut butter and jelly’s, any soft treats, or dog friendly ice cream/cookies🩶

We have a sleigh full of thank you's we need to say! We have had so many wonderful donations in the last couple days alot more then what's in the pictures and some we know where they came from and some we don't, but we wanna make sure we say thank you to everyone! Hello Santa, it’s Cali I was calling to change my address so my presents can get dropped off at my new home, that’s right my wish came true I’m no longer at the shelter!!!❤️🐾🥺

Santa really listened to what Cali wanted and it was to go home for the holidays so now she gets to patiently wait for Santa to come to her new home with her new family🥰

West middlesex 6th grade class donated multiple items from dog and cat treats, litter, puppy pads, cleaning supplies, food, even some toys for them to enjoy‼️‼️

We want to thank all of the kids for getting all the donations together and for their kind teacher Mrs. Zinkham for dropping them off on their behalf! She even pictured some of our dogs and cats in the note to the kids so they knew who they were donating to which we found pretty adorable ❤️💚

The dogs and cats sure do appreciate all the love and support everyone has shown them especially in the treat department 😉🥰

Meadow baby🥰

Her time has come where she has been adopted, very bitter sweet for us because she was a shelter favorite but glad she gets her forever home to love and grow with❤️🐾

She came in very scared and malnourished but she is starting to open up and will flourish and be the happy silly dog she was meant to be🩶

After suffering a terrible loss of their beloved pet they opened their hearts up to another dog for the holidays and it was such a great fit🥳

We are beyond grateful for the people who are showing us so much support and donating to the pups and kitties for the holidays‼️❤️🐾

Donna Uberti celebrated her birthday by donating 50 blankets to the shelter❤️HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA🥳

Ridgewood senior home donated a check, a large bin of items for the dogs and cats and cookies for the shelter staff🩵

Mrs. Schuster’s 2nd grade class at Artman elementary school donated lots of food, treats, newspaper, and blankets🧡

And for the mom and son who didn’t give a name for their donation, donated a bunch of food, treats and toys🩶

We also appreciate everyone who has sent in a donation through check(who will receive a thank you through mail) and for those who dropped off large amounts of treats, food, blankets, etc and didn’t leave a name to be thanked!! ❤️🐾

ALSO a huge shout out to the city of hermitage street department for not only salting our driveway because we had many elderly and young kids walking on it but also supplying us a warm meal as we had a very busy day ahead of us‼️we greatly appreciate everything they do to help us🥰

Honey here got her forever home for the holidays❤️💚🐾

Honey was over looked 3 times so the 4th time is the charm, she has so much love to give and finally is able to give it to the right family!!

We are so thrilled she gets a chance to be herself and love on her new owners❤️

This is what the shelter environment does to some dogs! Look at the difference ONE HOUR made for our girl Astra in a foster home! As you can see from the video, she was VERY stressed out at the shelter. She has had countless medical issues due to this stress in the short time she’s been with us. Within 1 hour of being in a foster home, she is a COMPLETELY different dog! She’s calm, obedient, and clearly very smart!! When you meet a shelter dog for the first time, you may think they seem hyper or “bad.” The reality is, they never actually act this way outside of the shelter. A shelter is no place for a dog to live. That’s why we need your help finding a forever home for Astra! 💕Astra💕 -female, spayed -about 1 year old -dog friendly -no cats If you are interested in adopting Astra, please follow these steps! 1.
