❤️ From Our Fette Vet Family to Yours ❤️
As we celebrate this season of freedom and togetherness, our clinic will be closed Friday, July 4th and Saturday, July 5th to give our team time with their loved ones and to celebrate our great nations freedom. We’ll reopen with full hearts and regular hours on Tuesday, July 8th.
From all of us here at Fette Vet, we wish you a joyful and safe Independence Day. May your weekend be filled with laughter, gratitude, and the simple joys of summer — and of course, extra cuddles with your four-legged family members. 🐾
Thank you for letting us be part of your lives and your pets’ care.
Happy Fourth of July!
With Love,
Team Fette Vet
Tips for Pet Safety During Fireworks 🐾
1. Keep Pets Indoors
• Even outdoor-loving pets should stay inside during fireworks.
• Close windows and curtains to muffle sound and block flashes.
2. Create a Safe Haven
• Set up a quiet, cozy space with their favorite bed, toys, and blankets.
• Use white noise, calming music, or a TV to help mask the noise.
3. Exercise Early
• Take dogs for a long walk or play session earlier in the day to help them rest more easily at night.
4. ID Tags & Microchips
- Ensure your pet’s collar has an up-to-date ID tag.
• Microchipping adds an extra layer of protection in case they escape.
5. Secure Your Home
• Double-check that all doors, windows, and gates are closed and locked.
• Remind guests to be cautious when entering or exiting.
6. Comfort & Distraction
• Stay with your pet if possible. Your presence is reassuring.
• Offer puzzle toys or treats to keep them engaged.
7. Calming Aids
• Consider anxiety wraps (like Thundershirts), pheromone diffusers, or vet-approved calming chews.
• Always consult your vet before using any new products or medications.
8. Clean Up Firework Debris
• If you or neighbors set off fireworks, check your yard for debris that could be toxic if ingested.
9. Don’t Bring Pets to Fireworks Shows
• Even the calmest pets can panic in large crowds and loud environments.
10. Stay Calm Yourself
• Pets pick up on your emotions. Stay relaxed and speak in a soothing voice.
