Soft Landing Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. We are a 501c3 animal rescue taking in reptiles, cats, mini horses, and outdoor feathered friends. We rescue cats, reptiles, miniature horses and mini donkeys.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit small animal rescue who focuses on helping neglected, abused, sick, injured animals; rehabilitating them, and finding them approved homes. We educate the public on the importance of TNR, allowing sufficient time for the new pet to settle in to new surroundings, and educating others on how to socialize unsocialized cats. We provide educational days with our rescued reptiles

, farm days to brighten up residents in nursing homes. We travel all over PA, NY, Nj, Ohio to rescue animals in need. We also help to transport rescues to other rescue facilities, or new homes.

🎉💓🎉 UPDATE: Raine has been found and is on her way back! 🎉💓🎉

🔴🔴 REQUEST 🔴🔴 If anyone living on Bottle Run Road has game cams or cameras around their home if they could check cameras and share with us any sightings of Raine that would be very much appreciated.

🔴🔴 UPDATE 🔴🔴 Raine is still not home. Last confirmed sighting was in vincinity of 2900 area of Bottle Run Road Williamsport. She ran towards the pipeline up above Bottle Run Road and then was seen running back towards the road.

🔴🔴 WHAT WE NEED 🔴🔴 we need reported sightings at this time. It is important for her not to be chased. We need her to get comfortable staying in an area and then we can move to the next step of setting up a feeding station.  Please report any sightings to one of the numbers listed below as soon as you can.

After it has been verified that she is going to the feeding station consistently we can set a trap that needs to be monitored closely, especially with the cold temperatures.

We will need assistance from the community in various ways. We have now been in touch with a local individual who has experience trapping.

The community where Raine was seen several times last evening has been incredibly supportive, and we are very grateful for their attention, time, and support.

Fortune was to the vet yesterday to have her final egg removed. That didn’t happen. The egg didn’t drop down low enough for the vet to be able to grab it with the forceps. We are going to try again later next week. She continues to be bright eyed, eating well and exploring her tortoise area.

Also a big thank you, Jill, for the miniature horse blankets. When you think you have enough blankets and then the temps drop below zero two weeks ago. We needed those extra blankets bad! Thank you ! Some of our miniature horses are also part of our rescue, too !

This sweet big boy is looking for his new furever home. His new owner will need to give him lots of time to come around. He will hide and only come out when it’s quiet. It has take him since summer to come down out of the cat tree while we are in the same room. He’s scared. His owner passed away and left him and several others behind. The others were more sociable and found their homes pretty quick. He’s needs his own place, time and patience. He’s a sweet boy. Not reactive. Please someone give him a chance to show his true self.

Meet Max. I received a message from a kind woman in New Jersey, asking for help for a feral cat who was in danger. All of his siblings were killed when kids would chase them onto a busy street and then they got hit by cars. Somehow Max avoided all of this. He arrived with a lump on his belly which ended being an umbilical hernia. Requiring surgery not once, but twice. Max was living in our cathouse/catio until about a month ago when we saw he was losing weight. We brought him in and gave him two dog crates joined together to give him space so he wouldn’t feel threatened. Max loves his wet food. And now meets me at the gate for some shoulder scratches… on his terms. He was treated for an upper respiratory infection, and has gained his weight back. #feralcatsmatter #feraltofriendly #feralcatsneedlovetoo #feralisn’tforever

Here’s the kitty that Heidi’s Furry Friends was able to secure. They got him neutered and we have him to see how friendly he is. Obviously he is quite friendly. lol He will be FIV/FeLv tested, microchipped, and his adoption is pending.

Lil Bean is doing great. He’s drinking his kitten milk replacer from a shallow bowl. He sure is a sweetheart.

One of our semi- feral cats who came to us from another rescue because she was trapped and spayed in an area where it wasn’t safe to release her. She had been living in our cathouse l/catio until she developed an URI. . She has decided that I’m ok to hold her and give her lots of pets and hugs. She did lots of dropping, purring, and making biscuits. Hopefully someday she will be ready to be adopted.

Hope continues to feel good. He has been weaned off prizosin, one of the meds helping him to empty his bladder. And he is now being weaned off bethanicol, another med that helps him to urinate. He remains on Clavamox ( Augmentin) for the inflamed bladder until the unltraosund shows his bladder wall is back to normal. He is also on a few other meds until he is cleared to be off of them. So far so good.

Sebastian decided tonight that he was perfectly fine and wanted to be pet . Even purring. He is a very sweet boy and would love to stay with his friend, Pickle.
