We are announcing this year is the final trail ride. It’s been a wonderful 37 years of meeting people & showing them the beautiful Shawnee National Forrest. Thanks for everyone’s support, business, friendship, & help.

The Buchanan Family's traditional One Horse Gap Trail Ride is hosted during the second week of October at New Hope Hill Campground, located in the Hidden Springs Ranger District.

Some of the most phenomenal views of the magnificent Shawnee National Forest is right out our back door. Shawnee National Forest is enclosed with rapid streams, mazes of boulders, steep cliffs, sandstone bluffs, surging waterfalls, secrete caves, deep gorges, and breathtaking overlooks. These magnificent views mold Shawnee into one of the most beautiful locations to ride on horseback in the United States. Join our friends and family for an unforgettable week of trail riding through the spectacular Shawnee "No one knows the Shawnee like we do!!"

Bob Buchanan, owner of New Hope Hill Campground, founded the One Horse Gap Trail Ride in 1985. The Buchanan Family invites you to join their traditional six day organized One Horse Gap Trail Ride. The annual One Horse Gap Trail Ride is hosted during the second full week of October.
