🚨 Salon Updates & Exciting News! 🚨

Big news: my salon is getting closer to opening! 🎉 James and I have been hard at work these past few weeks ordering equipment, managing budgets, and putting the final touches together. There’s still one salon suite available for rent, so if you’re a groomer looking for an amazing space to grow your business, let’s chat!

I’m also currently interviewing to hire one talented groomer for Emilee’s Paw Spa—if you know someone amazing, send them my way! 🐾

It has been such a joy teaching and mentoring Stephanie Humeniuk and Rylee Thomas. Watching them grow has been incredibly rewarding. Teaching is something I truly love, and seeing their progress reminds me why I felt called to open this salon in the first place. My mission is to empower women in careers working with animals and to help educate pet owners on proper at-home pet care. 💕

Whelp, Oscar was overdue for his grooming appointment, poor dude was walking on toe nails before nail trimming today. It’s so nice to be able to change an animals quality of life with a few mins time.

Meet One Eye Willie (or William for short), the one-eyed wonder! 🐾 William is a resilient and loving dog who has overcome challenges with a smile. Despite having only one eye and being a senior dog (we think he is about 12), William is full of zest for life. He loves to go on walks and gets along well with other dogs (would probably do okay with cats too!). He also love treats and naps (who doesn’t?!)

Stephanie’s little dog, Lucy, was my client for three years before Stephanie approached me about a grooming internship—and wow, am I lucky to have her working alongside me now! I’m grateful every day to have her on the team. Her kindness toward each animal is truly beautiful to see, and her sense of humor makes every day brighter. One of the most important parts of learning to groom is developing strong animal-handling skills, and Stephanie has excelled in this area. Her skills have grown so much over the past year, and she’s proven to be incredibly detailed and dedicated.
Stephanie has been my grooming assistant this past year, and I know she’s on her way to making her mark in the grooming industry.

I’ve always had a love for animals, and over time, I realized grooming was the perfect way to combine that passion with a skill that truly helps pets. I love seeing how grooming can improve a pet’s comfort and appearance, and I enjoy tailoring each session to their unique needs.

My 5 year goal is to see myself specializing in breed-specific cuts and health-focused grooming techniques while continuing my education through workshops and certifications. I’m also passionate about raising awareness of the importance of grooming for pet health.

I enjoy working with scissors to create polished looks, and my goal is to provide quality grooming that keeps pets healthy, comfortable, and happy, while giving their owners peace of mind.

I love working with a variety of dog breeds because each has unique grooming needs and personality. I’m especially excited to work with King Charles Cavalier Spaniels. Their silky coats and sweet temperaments make them a joy to groom, and I take pride in keeping them looking their best.”
