Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue

Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue The Bulldog Club of Utah/Rescue rescues lost, abandoned, and unwanted English Bulldogs and places al All Bullies must be spayed or neutered prior to placement.

The Bulldog Club of Utah's Rescue Committee rescues lost, abandoned, and unwanted English Bulldogs and places all adoptable Bulldogs in new homes. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a Best Friends Animal Society Network Partner. Rescue Objectives

The Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue Committee is composed of volunteers who are working toward these objectives:
1. To accept Bulldogs whose own

ers can no longer keep them and find responsible, stable, loving new homes for them.
2. To rehabilitate Bulldogs before placement by providing necessary medical treatment and training to increase the chances of successful placement.
3. To help reduce the population of unwanted pets by ensuring that all rescued Bulldogs are spayed/neutered before being placed.
4. To screen applicants thoroughly before making placement decisions.
5. To inform prospective adopters about the rescue program and the requirements for taking care of Bulldogs. The majority of the English Bulldogs rescued are surrendered by their owners who can no longer keep them. About one third of our rescue dogs come from local animal shelters and humane societies. The average age for the dogs that fall under our care is between 3-5 years, although 7+ has been the norm for some years. When adopting an older dog a period of adjustment is expected, the vast majority of our rescue dogs adapt very well regardless of their age. They seem to have an amazing ability to know when they found a good home. The Bulldog Club of Utah does not have a set fee for placement since the needs of dogs vary greatly. Some have medical problems that need treatment. The veterinary expenses incurred in rehabilitating the dog are passed along to the new adoptive owner. To apply for a rescue dog contact any member of the rescue committee. Your application will be reviewed and if you are found to be a suitable home, you will be placed on our waiting list. It is not necessary to contact more than one committee member. Application for adoption can be found at http://www.rescuebulldogs.org/index.php

Disclaimer: The Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue is ONLY for rescue of English Bulldogs needing homes. We do not purchases dogs from owners. All Rescued Bulldogs will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Hi I'm Titan!

I'm a 2.5-year-old neutered male bulldog. When I first arrived at my foster family's house, I was extremely nervous and so scared! I have been moved around more than any dog should be. I have been hurt and I am learning to trust people again. I have also been working on my manners and my obedience skills. I still have some work to do, so I hope that you'll have patience with me as I'm learning what is expected of me. I'm very food motivated and will do pretty much anything for a treat. Giving me treats during training really helps me learn faster too.

I am 100% potty trained IF you take me out at least 2-3 times a day. I am currently being kennel trained. I can stay in my kennel for at least 4-6 hour stretches. Truth be told, I'm a social butterfly and would rather be near you and couch cuddle. If you put me in the kennel, I will bark at first but will eventually settle down and take a nap. I'm learning that it is my safe place. My foster mom puts on calming music for me, and it helps comfort me.

I thrive with boundaries and routine. I want you to help set me up for success by slowly acclimating me to areas of your home rather than leaving me to my own devices and allowing me to roam freely. We both need to earn each other's trust. I am still a puppy after all and can get into mischief if left unattended.

I can be as active as YOU want me to be. I love going on long walks and love to do zoomies in fresh snow. I'm perfectly fine being a couch potato too! I have a hearty appetite and enjoy eating my meals in the comfort of my kennel to keep everyone honest. I have plenty of chew toys and balls to keep me busy and engaged. I can't wait until we can play fetch together! I have learned that remotes do not make for good chew toys.

My foster family believes that the best fit for me would be a single woman household. I'm very protective of and just LOVE women. I'll be your built-in security guard because I have a very intimidating bark. I will need you to have a firm presence, but gently guide me, and hold me accountable while I'm getting the hang of things. I can sense when people are timid, and I can sometimes take advantage of that by jumping up, pulling on the leash, or nipping at you to get my way. I would also be comfortable with a couple's household. It does take me sometime to warm up to men because they have hurt me in the past so you must be patient. I'm not too fond of children so a home without children is best. I would do best as the only pet in the house- but under the right circumstances I might be able to make an exception for the right housemate(s). My foster family has 3 dogs, and I get along really well with all 3 of them. We don't know my history with cats.

If you're interested in meeting me, please fill out an application today and we can arrange a meet and greet. I can't wait to meet you! Adoption donation/ fee TBD. Ask for TiTAN

It's always great to see a familiar face......We first met Tank in 2021, when his owners at the could not afford the emergency surgery to remove his urate bladder stones, and unblock his urethra....off to MidValley! And then, the owners found Tank another home.....and then he ended up in another home..and then another trip to the Emergency vet to relieve his blocked urethra at the first of December 2024. Once again, the owners were unable to afford the surgery, Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue was called, and the great team at MIdValley Animal Clinic was called into service to fix his plumbing AGAIN!!! This time around, Tank was neutered as well. ($1.700 with neuter)

His owners, feeling like they would be unable to afford his care and prescription diet, surrendered Tank to Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue.

Tank is five years old, and he is a fine, healthy, happy boy! He is incredibly easy to have around, and he is really deserving of someone who will give him the time and attention that he craves, and deserves.
He gets along with all the other dogs, male and female, doesn't seem bothered by cats, or New Year's Eve fireworks. All he wants is someone that doesn't think he is disposable, when he has some problems, or not worth the sacrifice to afford the food that will keep him happy and healthy. And someone to take him for a walk--because it is fun! And to give him a nylabone to chew, or let him sit under the desk while his person is working, or napping on the couch, in the sun.

So, about that prescription diet:It changes the pH of the urine, so that crystals and stones don't form. It does require a veterinarian's prescription, and it is pricey: 27.5 lb. bag of Hill's U/D food is about $135.00 from Chewy, with the "Autoship" discount .Right now it is looking like that will last Tank 6-8 weeks. From experience, if Tank is fed the prescription food consistently, he should not be bothered with urate stones. In the past, people have used the kibble as a treat, just to be on the safe side--works very well There are other prescription foods out there that work just as well, but are more expensive.

If you think you can give Tank the home he deserves, and keep him on the appropriate diet, please fill out the application to adopt.

Hello! My name is Petey McPeterson, and I am on the hunt for my forever home to retire in. At the tender age of nine, I’ve come to realize that what I want most is to spend the rest of my years with a family full of love and energy. I get along wonderfully with kiddos and other animals, so a lively household sounds perfect for me!

Sadly, my current caretaker can no longer take me on her adventures and has made the difficult decision to find me a home where I can receive the love and care I truly deserve. I’m an older gentleman who enjoys slow walks (no more than half a mile), lounging in front of a cozy wood stove, and occasional playtime with kids or other furry friends who can give me attention at least once a day.

I’m a big fan of snuggling, whether in bed or on furniture, and I’m well-mannered and potty-trained. That said, as I get older, I sometimes have little accidents while I’m asleep (p**p only)—I don’t even realize it’s happening!

I come with my own dog bed, crate of food, toys, and leash, but my absolute favorite thing in the world is following my humans around the house. I’m a professional personal-space invader and love being the center of attention. I like to think I’m the sun, and everything revolves around me. I have a big personality and may or may not have been a stand-up comedian in a past life. Not to mention, I’m the second cousin to Randy Macho Man Savage. I’m an expert in wrestlin and tug! Yee!

If you think I might be a good fit for your family, please reach out ASAP—I can’t wait to meet you!
Cheers,

Ariel Starr

Every dollar counts and goes directly to the care of our Bulldogs. We recently posted about Dugan’s (Blue) being reunited with his adoptive Mom Stephanie. That was made possible because someone’s $5 donation bought a microchip. Every bit helps! Thank you so much for helping.

Blue now Dugan was adopted in to his forever home in January 2023.
In March of 2023 he disappeared with no reported sightings. BCUR and his mom Stephanie were recently contacted that he had been found by a really REALLY Good Samaritan and brought to Redwood Animal Clinic in Santa Rosa,CA. Stephanie drove all night to be reunited with her boy. Microchips save lives.

All dogs adopted through Bulldog Rescue of Utah are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered.
