Hi! I have a friend that needs to re-home his German Shepard, Agatha. She’s 8yrs old; he’s her only owner; she’s spayed; weighs 58lbs. He lives in apt & she’s home all day by herself & he’s working a lot. She used to have her own yard. She’s very sweet- I’ve taken care of her before. She’s very obedient and is good with kids. Always seems to want to play with the other dogs🐶 (not aggressive), but I’ve never seen her. She does not like cats!🐈

Rocky is doing well gettng around on his 3 legs. Thank you to all who donated towards his surgery! The family is grateful for the help and support they received and could not thank all of you enough! 1 Lucky Dog Rescue wants to keep the community hopeful that we can help a family in crisis with a pet emergency like this. We need full support and proper funding to do more with our Community Reach Out Project for families like Rocky. Please sign up for monthly donations to our organization to help have the finding needed for the next family in need.

Rocky's bill was $ 2,485.00 family borrowed $1,500.00 from other sources, we collected $1,000.00 in donations!

We hope next time we can fit the bill completely!

Here's an update on our friend Rocky who is now a tripod learning to maneuver around the house on 3 legs. He's doing really good. Enjoying his naps times in recovery and spending time with his boy 🧑🥰

Today an angel has earned his wings 🪽 ✨️ Our rescue alumni Rocko. His story is one that I hold dear in my heart and meant the world to me. Rocko was found as a stray near St Thomas University and rescued by two students that were roommates. They contacted us and I asked if they could foster him for a bit while we vetted him. They did, we vetted Rocko since he had some medical issues which were easily resolved with treatment. He recovered well with the help from the Med students that were fostering him. We made a great team and helped an unwanted, neglected dog that turned out to be a diamond in the rough! A gentleman contacted us through a friend that referred him to us looking for a service dog. We felt this would be the home Rocko would be great for and would pay it forward. We spoke on the phone and found that the gentleman was in a bad motorcycle accident a few years back and has a disability that having a dog with s special attribute that can assist and be a great service dog for him. My suggestion was Rocko. The students brought Rocko over to me so I can continue fostering him as they were moving on to their next milestone in their studies. In our care I saw that Rocko had the potential to be a service dog for this family. We did the usual verifications of information and had a few more phone conversations and we proceeded with finalizing the adoption and finding transport to send Rocko to them via caravans. It was a great match Rocko did amazing as to alerting and comforting without any training. It was all instinctual and the connection he made with his human. I just knew there was a Rockstar attribute in Rocko and he did not let my intuition down. He served his purpose, lived a good life, traveled with his person everywhere and was a true ambassador of his breed, American Staffordshire terrier! He was well known in his town and they would always request his presence and get a lot of attention and goodies in return! Rocko thank you for finding us and bringing so much appreciation, education, and most of all love to all of us involved in your time of rescue and new home life! Rocko was diagnosed with chronic heart failure CHF and was being treated by his veterinarian team with medication and treatment plans but this morning none of that stopped him from taking his last breath at home. May our angel fly high and continue to keep his eye on all of us! Rocko you earned your wings here on earth and now in heaven. Love you always!🐶🌹🥰💖

Our friend Rocky and his family need all the prayers tomorrow that this is not something more serious since the current treatment is not making any headway. Rocky was rescued from the streets in Miami as a young pup and our friends adopted him and loved him for the past 8 years. We need donations to come in to help him and his family with the vet bill. Make sure tonight you have all your critters ready for the fireworks! Keep their tags on in case they get out, check their microchip online to insure the most updated information is on it, keep them in a room with loud music or T.V. , crate them in necessary, use medication from your vet or any anxiety supplements such as CBD oil, CBD chews, and other products out there. If you need to even use them in combination. What are the struggles you have with your dogs on the 4th of July each year?
