We want to let you all know that we will be having a bingo fundraiser at the Elks starting tomorrow night the 3rd of April and continuing every Thursday night thru the 24th.

Our plan is to move RRAR forward and to be able to function as an active shelter. For this reason we are raising funds so we can be prepared when the time comes that we are up and running again.
To be perfectly clear, if for some reason we do not continue operating as a shelter the funds raised during these events will be donated to another 501 C3 non profit.

As always we are very thankful for all of the past and present help and support that you have so graciously given to RRAR.

REMMY
Remmy is one of the reasons why we need our shelter and why we rescue!

Remmy was rescued with the help of our caring Hibbing Police Department and ACO officers on the night of January 18. Remmy was in clear need of medical attention so with the permission of the owner our ACO was able to remove him from the home so we could give him the medical care he needed. He was very emaciated and scared so our staff was able to comfort him and love on him like he so deserves.
With the help of the AMAZING staff over at Critter Care we were able to give him the medical attention that he desperately needed.
Huge thank you to them!!

He is now in a foster home and is making a fabulous recovery and is loving his life and has quite the personality ❤️. His foster mom didn’t quite expect what a blossoming boy he would become in such a short time.

Remmy will be moving on to another rescue to help him find his fur ever home.
Unfortunately we do still have his medical costs that we are responsible for so if you are inclined to help us out with that so we can rescue more of the Remmy’s that are out there we would greatly appreciate that!! We truly cherish all of the past support from everyone!!

We know that you will enjoy the photos of this beautiful boy finally loving his life🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️

Here are some of your answers to questions asked:
1. We are still a RESCUE !!
Just because we lost our abilities to house animals in a building ,does not mean we lost our ability to rescue animals ! We are working closely with the MN board of animal health . At this point in time we do not have a facility to house animals. We will work on a foster program where we can help animals in intake. Get them vetting and health care in a foster program and adopted out . Until we get our kennel license back. We are working with the city of Hibbing. We were tenants in a city building. And they have been wonderful to work with. Our goal is to still work with them to serve our community!
2. We are building our board members and working on a restructure !! Board members are VOLUNTEERS . These people have full time jobs , families , and other duties in their daily lives . It takes a lot of time and commitment to be a part of a rescue. We appreciate each and every board member we have and have had in the past.
3. We NEED the communities support . When we found out we lost our kennel license our main goal was to rescue and make sure all of our animals were safe ! That takes a lot ! With the help of wonderful staff, other rescues and support from the community we reached our goal!
We look forward to working with the community ! It’s you that keeps us going !! We are working on hiring a manager that will strive to meet our goals and needs of the animals and the community.

We thank you for all that continue to support us !!

Meet him at the The Mesabi Humane Society ❤️Hey, meet Sergeant! He's a shepherd mix, a real leader, about 1-2 years old. He's all business when it comes to P.T. -playtime – life's not a drill for this guy, and he's always on time! Loves a schedule, keeps his space clean. Might take a sec to warm up, building trust is key. With the right person, another dog's cool, as long as Sargeant's the boss. And he is ready to choose who will be fit for his pack. 56 lbs and he has his 1st shots. Any questions? It's best to ask in person – he's not doing Facebook chats, lol. Come hang out and meet him 12-5, Tues-Sun! Volunteers are welcome anytime! It's the best way to get to know our animals!
