**WARNING: a hard read**

Yesterday, we had a freak accident with one of our holland does. She kindled two days early, and as she was cleaning up she choked on a placenta which quickly caused her death. My son and I were working with another rabbit and witnessed the whole ordeal.
We tried to intervene, but there is not much that could have been done. Quickly after her passing we tried to remove any remaining kits she had not birthed but the remaining 3 were unable to be saved.

HOWEVER, we have 3 viable kits she delivered who are now orphaned and no doe to foster until the others are due tomorrow. I have acquired fresh raw goats milk to try and keep them alive until they can be fostered to our best holland momma. Heres to hoping we can keep her line thriving!
Breeding hollands is not for the weak or over emotional. She will be deeply missed. ❤️
