Donna’s Home Away from home dog boarding offers boarding in a safe, comfortable and FUN environment. Your dog will spend the day in daycare playing with compatible buddies enjoying outside free play & outside engaged play or just relaxing in the shade (supervision at all times) or if they prefer to be inside that also is a choice.(couch potatoes welcome) Then come evening they cuddle up where they find confortable for a well earned nights rest. I recognize that each dog has their own play preference and strive to provide activities that will maximize fun and comfort level for each of our boarders. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following rules and regulations:
AGE: All dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age to board at Donna’s home Away From Home
VACCINATIONS: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. PARASITES: All dogs must be parasite free to board at Donna’s Home Away From Home. We do not have fleas here. We wouldn’t wish then on anyone either! So our advice is to treat your pet with a flea treatment prior to boarding. HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Owners will certify their dogs are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition the last 30 days. Upon admission all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize themselves or other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinary certification of health to be admitted or re-admitted. BEHAVIOR: All dogs MUST be non-aggressive & well behaved. Owners will certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or dog. Please remember that your dog will be spending time with people and other dogs and the safety and health of our staff and dogs is our main concern. RESERVATIONS: All boarding dogs must have a reservation. Reservations will be granted on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited so please book early. There will be a $50 fee to hold your dates this is a non-refundable fee. However it will be applied to your payment after boarding if the dates are kept. Night stay: Donna’s Home Away From Home strives to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for all of our boarding guests. I ask that you send along your dogs favorite bedding. This may be a pet bed or an article of clothing of yours with your smell (t-shirt/blanket) I allow the dogs to find their favorite comfy spot to sleep & will put their articles in that area, although some have been known to snuggle up in bed with us ;-)
Your dog will also be treated to a pet massage before bed. If you prefer your dog to be crated you must provide the crate as I do not crate unless a owner requires I do to keep with their pattern at home. Daytime consist of supervision at outside playtime, hikes, swim time & individual attention possible car rides if weather is not too warm when I have a quick errand to run . (Your dog MUST be able to be left home if I need to go to the grocery store or a quick errand, as I will not put dogs in the car if it is a warm day)
Knowing your dog is safe and happy while you're away brings great peace of mind. Therefore if requested I will send pictures & updates via email or txt. Please be sure to let me know which you prefer. Also do not ever hesitate to call or txt to ask how all is. My phone is off when I go to sleep, but at times I am up late & will answer right away other wise I will answer the min I am able. Never think you are annoying me or bothering me with wanting to know how your dog is!! I welcome it at all time!! My Goal is provide a safe, relaxed & happy stress free time for your dog. So that you can enjoy your time away, knowing that all is well & your dog is also having fun in a loving & safe environment. DOG DAYCARE >>>>
Dog daycare is available from 8am-5pm (before or after hours @ request)
Your dog will participate in fun outside, running, playing, getting lots of exercise & love. We will go in & out per each dogs wishes. Some may wish to stay in & cool off, some may wish to just play & play. Your dog will be free to choose. Dogs are always supervised outside, they are never just sent out on their own. Daycare dogs are to be sent with a nylon or leather collar with nametags. (No choke or prong collars) I ask if they use any type of harness for hiking that you send that, as there are times weather permitting we go out on hikes. ALL dogs will be on long leads for hikes. (No matter how great they are at recall)
If your dog has a restricted diet for treats I ask you send whatever treats are ok for your dog, other wise I make yummy all organic natural healthy treats.
*Daycare dogs must have been evaluated before coming to spend their first day. Application Forms must be filled out, and will be kept on file.
*I ask that IF possible you schedule daycare as soon as possible, however you may call at short notice but I cannot guarantee an opening will be available. No deposit is required for daycare, however I would trust that you take into consideration if you schedule & cancel at the last min or do not show that I may have turned away another dog in need for the day. If you have cancelled or have been a no show I will have to ask for a deposit with an 24 hour notice. Fees for Daycare

Unfortunately even though we would Love to welcome all types of dogs
our insurance has restrictions on certain types of dogs ;-(
we can not risk losing our insurance coverage other wise we would welcome Any dog well behaved. If interested please request an application form to fill out online then a free intake meeting will happen. [email protected]
