These 3 cuties come from an unstable household. Some very caring people stepped in to help a lady in a volatile situation who needed a safe space for her smallest pups. All three are fully vetted and spay/neutered. Hobie will be ready at any time. Goldie and Gidget need a little more time to decompress and know they are safe.

Update on Liberty: What a difference a day can make! She rested most of the day and ate a great dinner.

A heartfelt thank you to one of our rescue partners, The Haley Graves Foundation NC, for their generous donation to help with Liberty. Also, a huge thank you to Dr. Byungura at James Landing Veterinary Hospital for treating Liberty so quickly to get her on her road to recovery.

Welcome Liberty to the LPPNC Program! 🐾

We would like to introduce Liberty, a resilient soul who has just joined our program. Found as a stray on July 3rd and taken to GCAS, Liberty has faced unimaginable past—perhaps due to fireworks, we really don’t know.

Despite her struggles, Liberty's spirit remains unbroken. She is still giving kisses and tail wags. Yesterday, she underwent an exam, leg amputation and was spayed. She is now on the path to recovery and ready to start a new chapter filled with love and care.

We are committed to making the rest of Liberty's life the absolute best it can be. Your support is crucial in helping her heal and thrive. Any charitable donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly towards her ongoing care and recovery.

**Cat Fundraiser: Operation Cat-Nip 2.0**

A kind-hearted individual couldn't bear to see the neighborhood cats go hungry and started feeding them. Now, the situation has grown, and we have approximately 12 adults and 16 kittens relying on us!

Thank you to Every Snout Counts of the Piedmont, Inc.!
While their team was active in the community, administering rabies vaccinations and distributing dog and cat food, they came across a dog in dire straits - emaciated and homeless, discovered on the roadside just 48 hours prior.

Thankfully, a compassionate family took him under their wing and brought him into their home. They facilitated a visit to Hulin Veterinary Hospital for BUDDY with the help of Loving Pet Project NC - LPPNC. Estimated to be between 5 to 6 years old, Buddy is likely partially blind, with limited vision, possibly only discerning shadows. He's in dire need of putting on approximately 20 pounds and will require ongoing medical care in the coming weeks.

Our mission now is to seek out a family that will offer Buddy the love and care he deserves. Despite experiencing human neglect, Buddy remains a gentle and affectionate soul. He's already adapting well to life alongside three other dogs, chickens, and even toddlers. His desire is simple: to be by your side. We think for now, that a foster that works from home or is retired would be best to get him settled until he is comfortable.

Please help us spread the word. If you're inclined to support Buddy's journey to recovery, donations can be made to Loving Pet Project NC - LPPNC. Together, let's demonstrate to Buddy the compassion and kindness that exist within our community.
