Protect Your Pup—Leptospirosis Vaccine Now Required!

Attention pet parents! We’re updating our vaccination guidelines to keep your furry friends safe. Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease found in contaminated water or soil, and it can cause serious kidney issues in dogs. Even more importantly, it’s zoonotic—meaning it can spread from animals to humans.

Because Lepto is everywhere, the American Animal Hospital Association now considers the Leptospirosis vaccine a core protection for all dogs. We strongly recommend this highly effective vaccine for every pup, especially those coming in for annual shots, daycare, boarding, or grooming.

Here’s what you need to know:
• The initial vaccine series requires two doses, given 3–4 weeks apart.
• After that, your dog will need a booster every year.
• All dogs attending our daycare, boarding, or grooming services must be current on their Lepto vaccine.

Today, Odie had the ultimate acupuncture session! 🐾 During his session, he was completely mesmerized by a video of birds chirping and squirrels darting around. You could see him relaxing deeper with every chirp and squirrel dash—he even started chasing squirrels in his dreams! If only every day could be this peaceful and entertaining for our favorite feline. 💆‍♂️🐦🐿️

With certifications from the Companion Animal Sciences Institute and the Karen Pryor Academy, and as the owner of 𝙋𝙖𝙬𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙤𝙜 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙇𝘾. brings a wealth of expertise to help your canine companions thrive. Drawing on their extensive experience as AKC and NACSW judges, as well as their background with the Milwaukee Police Department, Dave and Todd offer unique insights from both the sport and law enforcement communities. This workshop is designed to help handlers and dogs collaborate effectively and reach new levels of teamwork. Participants will be grouped according to their working level, ensuring everyone has the chance to learn directly from both instructors.
