Protect Your Pupโ€”Leptospirosis Vaccine Now Required!

Attention pet parents! Weโ€™re updating our vaccination guidelines to keep your furry friends safe. Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease found in contaminated water or soil, and it can cause serious kidney issues in dogs. Even more importantly, itโ€™s zoonoticโ€”meaning it can spread from animals to humans.

Because Lepto is everywhere, the American Animal Hospital Association now considers the Leptospirosis vaccine a core protection for all dogs. We strongly recommend this highly effective vaccine for every pup, especially those coming in for annual shots, daycare, boarding, or grooming.

Hereโ€™s what you need to know:
โ€ข The initial vaccine series requires two doses, given 3โ€“4 weeks apart.
โ€ข After that, your dog will need a booster every year.
โ€ข All dogs attending our daycare, boarding, or grooming services must be current on their Lepto vaccine.
