The latest additions to the Barlow Acres flock. 5 Heritage Pilgrim Geese, very excited to see them grow. Any name suggestions? We think... we have 3 boys and 2 girls.

Before and after shots of our latest pigtrastrophe. I went up to feed them this morning and their all be it homemade pig shelter had been well and truly disassembled, it looked like IKEA flat-pack furniture. I managed to get it back to normal after an hour with significant help from all 18 pigs, its amazing how curious and helpful they can be when you could do with some space. Yet again I have learnt a lot about farming and this time pig hut assembly.

The weather is finally warming up and the animals are a lot more active, especially the piglets. We will have registered Gloucester Old Spot Breeders and feeders available in the New Year for sale. I will also be offering fully processed whole and half pigs. If you are interested in any of the above please message us.

Well Winter has come with a vengeance here, but I'm pleased to report all the animals are positively blooming in the snowy weather. The piglets are growing rapidly and will be available for sale shortly (watch this space), and the chickens and ducks are enjoying sharing their barn. Its also keeping me fit having to carry 10 gallons of warm water twice a day up to the paddock to satisfy the thirsty animals. Michigan weather and hoses don't mix, I will probably have arms like Popeye by the end of the Winter.
