There is a very exciting adoption event this weekend—a shelter open house! If you have been looking to meet our shelter residents, this is the perfect opportunity.
We wanted to hold an adoption event specifically for these pups who often get overlooked. Our staff and volunteers have spent countless hours caring for, learning about, and loving on these special souls. Please come out on Saturday to see for yourself what makes each one so special. While some pups are newer to the shelter, there are some that have been waiting for their forever homes since the middle of 2024.
Not only will this be a great opportunity to meet our shelter pups, but we have some exciting vendors also coming out. James’ Devildoggs, SnoBalls, and more!

Bambi is a young (approx 2 yrs old), beautiful female dog with lots of love to give. She is a friendly, curious, and smart pup who is always ready to play and run around. Bambi is athletic and energetic, she will be a great companion on long walks or runs. She is young and has lots of energy, so she is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention and receive lots of love and care as she doesn't like being alone. The best scenario for Bambi is living with a family that is dog savvy and has an adult dog with good communication skills and of similar / matched energy, and of similar size to Bambi. Bambi has energy to spare so is currently receiving training for her anxiety and needs someone who willing to implement positive reinforcement behavior modification. Bambi weighs about 50 pounds of pure love.
Bambi would love a home of her own and a foster to adopt situation can be arranged where you would have two weeks to decide. CHN supplies everything during those two weeks (crate, food, even medical care if needed) A trainer will also be involved to help with the transition. Bambi is currently living at our shelter, so if you wanted to just foster her while she waits for her new family to find her, she would be so grateful.
