Woohoo! It's Winter Pony Camp time! We will have 1 session to start with this year as weather is ALWAYS a factor in the winter. Ages 7 to 12 and limited to 10 kids per session. Highland Saddle Club. 12118 Ellis rd. Highland, Il.

December 27th (weather make up day Dec. 29th)
Time: 12-3

Cost is $100 per participant.

Pony camp is a blast for all kids- no experience required. We will learn about horses and their care, and of course, ride! Kids will need to wear boots and dress for the weather. Helmets will be provided. Please bring a sports bottle with a drink. We do have a heated room to warm up in.

To register: Text Michele your child's name and age. 618-616-5154. Please do not send messages in fb messenger- I do not always see them! Camps fill fast. Payment is due day of camp upon arrival. Cash or check made to HSC.

Our horses love getting Christmas presents! I often get asked what we need to keep our horses healthy and happy- so I made a generic amazon wishlist. Most of these items can be purchased cheaper locally at Rural King, Buccheits, and Tractor supply. Gift cards are great also- I purchase quite a bit of feed, treats, and supplies from Rural King in Highland.

Happy Halloween from Aria! Aria was rescued out of the corn field behind the barn 2 years ago and now has a bougee life with Michele and Nels. She prefers the extra cuddly HSC hoodie for napping.

Arena repairs day! First our lights and perimeter fence on the outdoor arena got rehung, straightened out and repaired. Then our indoor arena got new lights and the footing levelled out, along with gate repairs. Our new sound system will be installed soon so we can ride to music and use the microphone to instruct.

2023 Homeschool event
Sept. 21 from 9-12
Ages 8-12

The Highland Saddle Club is offering an event for the home school community. This is an introductory to horses class for children ages 8-12.

We will be covering parts of the horse, grooming, saddling, and riding!

What you need:

-Pants, flat-soled boot (cowboy boots or similar) No shorts, sandals or tennis shoes.
-sports bottle with water
-astm certified riding helmet (we can provide if you do not own one) No hockey or bike helmets

I am limiting this to the first 10 kids. Cost is $75 and is due the day of event. Parents are welcome to stay for the event but do not have to. I am looking forward to this event!
