If you’re planning to take your dog to the beach, it’s important to be aware of sand impaction. This life-threatening emergency occurs when a dog ingests too much sand, usually inadvertently, and it forms an intestinal blockage. 🏖️🐕

Signs can develop anywhere from a few hours to a few days later and typically include vomiting, loss of appetite, and lethargy. If you see these signs following a trip to the beach, seek veterinary treatment right away. 🚨🐾

Treatment will depend on how much sand is impacted and how sick your dog is. Most dogs require hospitalization for intravenous fluids, medications, and X-rays to monitor the sand’s movement. 🏥🩺

Surgery should be avoided due to the infection risk that comes with removing millions of grains of dirty sand. Fortunately, most dogs do very well with medical management. 🐶❤️

We are here to create amazing Australian Labradoodles from ALAA registered lines for families. Our goal is to produce happy and healthy dogs that families can love.

We make sure our dogs' health is top notch. They have everything they need, medical wise, food, toys and most of all, love.

We also make sure the puppies get the best during their 8 weeks with us. We make sure they have fun enrichment, the best food, toys, and the best lasting shaping experience with us.

The goodbye is the hardest thing but we are also excited to see where their journey takes them!

After a long surgery, Mama Esme pulled through fabulously and all of her 10 babies! Miraculously not one was lost. Even the vet was surprised. Way to go, Mama Esme! We have not counted how many of each gender yet. We want to keep it stress free for Mama Esme. She had a long night! (So do we, 😴😴😴) But when we all feel settled, I will let you know how many blues and pinks! But... Thank you all for your prayers. It sure worked! We love yall!
