Rockwood Canyon Kennel We are so blessed to have served the Australian Shepherd community in San Diego, CA for 15 yrs! Our dogs are loved members of our families.

After moving to TN in 2023 we have decided to retire from breeding. Please keep sharing your adventures & thank you for the love & support over the years! Rockwood Canyon Kennel is a 3rd generation Australian Shepherd breeder. We are dedicated to providing brilliant Aussies that adhere to breed standard as stated by the ASCA and AKC. Our Aussies are breed on our family ranch located in the beautiful hills of Escondido, Southern California. Robust, loyal and stunning to look at!

Our Story

Welcome to Rockwood Canyon Kennel, my name is Jennifer, and I'm so excited to introduce you to our Aussies! My husband Peter, has been breeding Aussies on his family ranch his whole life. When we married back in 2007, he insisted that the first thing we do as newlyweds was get an Australian Shepherd! We purchase our beloved blue merle, Callie. She was the most intelligent and loving girl a human could ask for! It breaks my heart that her time with us has passed, but I still see her sweet and gentle presence in each and every one of her offspring. Callies wonderful temperament and beautiful coloring has been mixed with our robust 3rd generation ranch line; to produce the most amazing Australian Shepherds! We know you will love them as much as we do! Our family ranch is located in the beautiful (but rural!) hills of Escondido, Southern California.
