The last coonhound in the bunch still needs a loving home! He is so sweet and wonderful! Someday when I'm ready for another dog I'll be getting a coonhound. They are such wonderful and relaxed dogs. Shipping is possible, if you are interested and need transportation. Please contact me and we will work something out. Rehoming fee will be waived for the right home.

Please help me find homes for these puppies. I found them, emaciated and neglected, wondering on the road in Clay County. I have nursed them back to health and they are ready for a loving family!

2. *Adopted*Female: Millie is quiet and mellow. She gets along with everyone including the cat.

4. *adopted* Male: gentle giant, prefers to sit and get pats while the others play. Has a hurt back paw that he favors, but still runs pretty fast on 3 legs.

Yesterday we rescued a litter of 5 coonhound puppies. They were abandoned and starved. I spent all morning bathing them and removing a nauseating amount of ticks. I will never understand how people can do this to mans best friend. Despite their neglect; they are incredibly trusting and loving. We will most likely keep the little white bodied girl. I'm actively seeking homes for the other 4. If you are interested please send me a message!

Our Story

Welcome to Rockwood Canyon Kennel, my name is Jennifer, and I'm so excited to introduce you to our Aussies! My husband Peter, has been breeding Aussies on his family ranch his whole life. When we married back in 2007, he insisted that the first thing we do as newlyweds was get an Australian Shepherd! We purchase our beloved blue merle, Callie. She was the most intelligent and loving girl a human could ask for! It breaks my heart that her time with us has passed, but I still see her sweet and gentle presence in each and every one of her offspring. Callies wonderful temperament and beautiful coloring has been mixed with our robust 3rd generation ranch line; to produce the most amazing Australian Shepherds! We know you will love them as much as we do! Our family ranch is located in the beautiful (but rural!) hills of Escondido, Southern California.
