FREEdom Tails Ohio is a registered 501(c)(3) animal reacue. We specialize in rescue & rehab and adoption. We are 100% volunteer AND foster based.

We have fosters located in Columbus (and surrounding suburbs), Canton, and Bryan. We respect and appreciate our foster’s time and efforts rehabilitating animals and do not set up meet and greets prior to an approval of an adoption application. Adopt Autumn

Autumn aka “Ruby doobie girl” is the calmest most beautiful ruby cavalier.
She is 2ish years old.
She came to FTO because the breeder said she wasn’t producing.
Well a few weeks after she arrived she produced two beautiful puppies! They have been adopted and now it’s autumns turn.

She’s a couch potato. She loves to be right next to people and lives other dogs her size.

She’s very smart and is doing amazing on house training she asks to go outside.

She doesn’t love a leash- yet.
She’s about 12pds of pure love.

She has typical Cavie ears and we have treated an infection.
She’s been spayed microchipped vaccinated and is ready for her new life!

Adopt Dorothy and Blanche.

Both of these “Golden Girls” are 2-3 year old female Pembroke Welsh Corgis. They are friendly with other dogs, cats, and children. Their foster home has a fenced yard but this is not a requirement for these girls. They are a bit overweight though and would benefit from scheduled feeding and daily walks.
Fence required.

They do not have to be adopted together but they do seem used to being together. ♥️

Adopt Giorgio

This adorable dude is 3 years old and 21lbs. He is a tall skinny poodle. He is such a special dog. Giorgio is a sweetheart but he is still a bit fearful. He is ready for a family that is going to spoil him and help him continue healing. He continues to make HUGE progress. He has a very playful side that continues to develop as he feels safer!

Giorgio can be skittish but he has come so far. He is curious abt the humans in the house, but hesitant to trust. Giorgio's happiest times are running around the yard and playing with toys. Giorgio discovered he LOVES dog toys and enjoys it if you throw them for him to go get. He loves the other dogs in the house and they are a great comfort to him. He has been playing with them more and more! Loves tug-o-war with a toy! He enjoys being outdoors. He definitely has an athletic side but he's not hyper at all. He's a good playmate and companion for the other dogs.

He is going to need love and patience. Definitely needs a yard with a fence. He is not great on the leash yet. He is working on potty training and doing well with it. Would need to have atleast one additional dog in the house, but more is fine by him!

Giorgio lets us hold him and pet him, but doesn't come up to us for pets yet. He does like to sit on the couch near us now! The sky is the limit with this one, and the journey will be so rewarding...can you be his person??? He is so very deserving of both love and security.

Adopt Figaro
Who is a super sweet Tuxedo kitten that we think was born around June of 2024, making him about 6 months old and still very, very much a kitten.

Figaro has been fixed and tested FIV negative.

Figaro lives with dogs, cats and other kids. He LOVES playing with the dog's long tails, feathers, or anything at all that moves. He has two modes, playful or napping. He would love a playmate- whether they are human or feline. Figaro has the nose of a dog and can smell when you are eating food. He will appear out of nowhere to use his adorable face and eyes to beg for food (he of course isn't allowed to have).

Jasmine weighs 40 pounds. She is house trained and completely vetted. She is on a 2-3 hour schedule to go outside during the day. She has seen cats and not reacted. She has been around children over 8. Jasmine sleeps quietly in a crate at night and when her foster mom is not home. Jasmine would do best as the only dog in the home. She likes toys, treats and soft blankets to sleep on. Jasmine is located in Canton.

Jersey and Callie both weigh 15 pounds. They are bonded sisters. Both are fully vetted and potty trained. They do not walk on a leash. Jersey and Callie do not like the feel of grass, and prefer to stay on their foster mom's large deck. They have been around children over the age of 6. They have seen cats and did not react. The girls have a large pen to sleep in and are constantly together. Jersey is still timid. Jersey and Callie are groomed every 9 weeks. They are located in Canton.

Lincoln is a 52 lb, 3-year old male black lab mix. He was adopted as a puppy through our organization a few years ago, and was recently returned by no fault of his own.

Lincoln is fantastic and would make a great family dog. He’s vetted, house trained, good with kids, loves to play fetch and take walks/runs but also loves to nap and snuggle.
Because Lincoln is dog selective, we think he would do best as the only pet in the home.

Zebbie, weighing in at 11 pounds, is one half of this adorably bonded pair. She loves Georgina and hates to let her out of her sight-all is well when George is near. Zebbie is shy, but really loves to be petted. Georgina, all 8 pounds of her, loves people almost as much as she loves food. This adorable, squinty-eyed, toothless, hobbling, grunty, spunky pup will quickly endear herself to anyone. They both like to cuddle on the couch. They are good with kids, dogs of all sizes, and cats. They can walk on a leash, but prefer not to. They are not housebroken but wear their diapers and are actually very low maintenance. She is potty trained very well but if you do not take her out when she asks she will have an accident. She is crate trained no issues with that. Kids do irritate her sometimes but for the most part she’s fine around them.

FELICE (female, Frenchie) has quickly made her self apart of her foster family and she has made it so easy to fall in love with her. She enjoys long walks, watching tv, eating, cuddles and pets. She is a princess and if you stop petting her when she is not done she will grab your hand and make you continue to give her pets. She is a very chill dog!She does not bark a lot but she can, she is not hyper or into toys. She is really good at letting you know when she needs to go outside and does her business immediately. She likes to lay next to her people but will go into her crate with no issues, she does not bark when she has to be in there. When everyone is busy sometimes she will go in by herself to nap. I have had zero issues with her, she walks good on a leash she listens to commands she’s a perfect dog.

She needs a relaxing home with someone who can love on her, I have not had her around other dogs so I’m unsure of how she would be with others. She does try to play with my cat who is not a fan. She is a little jumpy so I think she would do best in a more quiet home.

This good girl is a frenchie, she is fully vetted with no health issues.

Adopt Cindy Lou

Cindy Lou is a little ball of energy and a joy to have around. Like most puppies she plays hard and sleeps hard. She likes to be close to her people often curled up on your shoulder where she loves to nap. She is lovingly called “Ms. Mouthy” because she will let you know when she wants something-like lifted up onto the couch, or out of her pen to go potty.

She sleeps through the night in her playpen. We are still working on potty training. Cindy Lou doesn’t understand leash walking yet, so a fenced yard would be ideal.

Cindy Lou had corrective heart surgery for a PDA at OSU on January 7 and is doing great. She requires no special care moving forward. He adoption fee will reflect some of that expense.

Meet Freddie M.! Freddie M. is a 7 lb ball of energy and attitude! He is a very sweet, high energy puppy who loves to run, explore, play, and then snuggle up for some cuddles.

Freddie M. does well with dogs and he loves toys. He is not cat tested. He is currently working his house training as he is still a puppy. He loves to follow the humans around the house and can sneak right under your feet.

He does well on the leash, but can't walk too far yet as he is so little. Freddie M. will require regular grooming.

Adopt Reggie, a friendly, sweet natured, high energy puppy that will require attention and playtime. Reggie is supposed to be a maltese-poodle mix but at already 12 lbs and with long legs, that may not be accurate.

Reggie loves to snuggle but also loves to run and play. Very friendly, loves people, dogs & toys. Not cat tested - may torment cats trying to get them to play. Currently working on house training, but just a puppy so training is a work in progress. Velcro dog with separation anxiety, would love a playful dog companion and/or someone active and home a lot. Would not do well crated all day.

Loves leash walks. Needs fence for his safety as runs like the wind toward anyone or thing he sees. Reggie will require regular grooming of his very fluffy coat.

Ozzy is a sweet, shy, and petite pup that loves to play hard. When playtime is over, he likes to be held and just cuddle up with humans (or other dogs). Great with kids and small dogs, but not cat tested. Due to his size, young children and toddlers are probably not the best fit. Working on house training and doing great when let out every 4-5 hours. He is very attached to his doggie brother, so another dog in the home would be preferred. He does not understand how to walk on a leash so a fenced yard would be ideal.

Gus is an absolute teddy bear. He loves to snuggle and be close to you. Like most puppies he gets the zoomies and is playful with his toys when you are ready to play. He has a “go-with-the-flow”attitude and is very laid back.

Gus is still working on potty training as he is a puppy but making great strides with p*e pad and going outside. Gus is good on a leash and loves sniffing around outside. Given he can potty on a leash he does not require a fence.

Hellllo!! My name is Percy Rocket! As you can tell from my looks, you can see that I’ve lived wild life, I came from a hoarder house but before that I was a groupie for many 80s rock bands that’s where I get my looks & style! I am over 12 years old and partially blind and deaf. I have no teeth, I use to party too hard in the past but more about my future. I’m hoping to find someone to relax with, someone who’s gonna put my eyedrops in my eyes a couple times a day, it’s really easy and return give you the most quietest company. I get along great with everyone, all animals, kids, it doesn’t matter just be nice to me. I’m only 4 pounds so I’d rather be picked up. I don’t do well on a leash, but I don’t need a fenced in yard, just set me in the same spot to go potty. I’m crate trained and I like to go to bed early and sleep in. I’m also potty pad trained.
