This little girl took her freedom ride this morning with Cecilia Dawn Foley Chapman from the shelter after a debilitating 5 day stray hold. When we first received her story it wasn't a case that could turn out well. She wasn't able to do much and it was suggested to let her go with dignity. That was our goal.
Things changed over the course of 5 days. Mandy is emptying her bladder and bowels on her own now. She is fearful and in severe pain. Di Rogers has been a strong partner in animal welfare and we have partnered with 8 dogs on their healing journeys. We agreed that Mandy would be loved on and we would get her the top notch vet care possible if she can be saved. If not, Mandy will spend time with Diane and be humanely euthanized and buried at the Rodgers Cemetery.

Adira update - day 8

Adira is a gentle soul. Today we spent our time with her outdoors in the sun where Adira enjoys most afternoons when she is home. Her absence is felt.
Adira is receiving meds via IV as she refuses to take them orally. She is eating on her own now without hesitation. Her leg today showed the harsh bruising of her wounds. Drains are still in place as well as ongoing flushing. As you can see, her inability to use her leg is of concern. We are hoping that as the trauma of the pain subsides her usage will return. Necrosis is also a concern but being closely monitored.
We thank those that continue to send inquiries and prayers for Adira. Thank you to Cuddly for picking up her story. We will need support as we go thru this with Adira.

🐾🐾Bath time boogie 🐾🐾
Today is the first day Bruno has been able to run and frolic after bath time. With all the rain he only would roll indoors. Today the sky is so bright along with an autumn-like feeling and Bruno apparently is a creature of habit.
Bruno is now bunking with Gracie May and the new arrival, Meadow. So the hunky monkey was eager to show off his new clean bath body. So handsome and loving - enjoys car rides and gives big wonky kisses.

Win-win situation depends on you. Bruno is a senior with severe infections that we are treating internally and externally. House trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash. Prefers kisses and a fluffy bed to being an outdoor dog. Loves kids and will need to be integrated slowly.

Bruno ... Day 17
Full of spunk & silly body jumps, Bruno is beginning to respond to the first rounds of Ketoconozole via oral & bathing. He's eating every 8 hours now and responding well to water therapy. Senior Dog with the will of a young pup.
Bruno is amazing with kids and the general public. On a recent doggie date with Stephanie, Kate and Laura, he enjoyed a pup cup and then some love from Jase and his karate group. It was a welcome break from the rescue.
Doggie Day Out is do important for socializing and trust training. We have 32 dogs of which any would love to get away for a few hours.
