Adira update - day 8

Adira is a gentle soul. Today we spent our time with her outdoors in the sun where Adira enjoys most afternoons when she is home. Her absence is felt.
Adira is receiving meds via IV as she refuses to take them orally. She is eating on her own now without hesitation. Her leg today showed the harsh bruising of her wounds. Drains are still in place as well as ongoing flushing. As you can see, her inability to use her leg is of concern. We are hoping that as the trauma of the pain subsides her usage will return. Necrosis is also a concern but being closely monitored.
We thank those that continue to send inquiries and prayers for Adira. Thank you to Cuddly for picking up her story. We will need support as we go thru this with Adira.

🐾🐾Bath time boogie 🐾🐾
Today is the first day Bruno has been able to run and frolic after bath time. With all the rain he only would roll indoors. Today the sky is so bright along with an autumn-like feeling and Bruno apparently is a creature of habit.
Bruno is now bunking with Gracie May and the new arrival, Meadow. So the hunky monkey was eager to show off his new clean bath body. So handsome and loving - enjoys car rides and gives big wonky kisses.

Win-win situation depends on you. Bruno is a senior with severe infections that we are treating internally and externally. House trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash. Prefers kisses and a fluffy bed to being an outdoor dog. Loves kids and will need to be integrated slowly.

Bruno ... Day 17
Full of spunk & silly body jumps, Bruno is beginning to respond to the first rounds of Ketoconozole via oral & bathing. He's eating every 8 hours now and responding well to water therapy. Senior Dog with the will of a young pup.
Bruno is amazing with kids and the general public. On a recent doggie date with Stephanie, Kate and Laura, he enjoyed a pup cup and then some love from Jase and his karate group. It was a welcome break from the rescue.
Doggie Day Out is do important for socializing and trust training. We have 32 dogs of which any would love to get away for a few hours.

We knew last minute at 830 this boy was being put on a Pilots N Paws flight. We knew we had to try and help him.
Pilot Kerry Bentley to the rescue. Within moments he was notified, there was the commitment.
Corey kna Jango arrived safely albeit scared. After some time to eat a small amount and drink water, we now have Jango receiving medical care.
From what we can tell, Jango has been bitten multiple times covering his entire body. Lacerations and urine burns are on his undercarriage. Severely emaciated, poofy belly and dehydrated, Janger has a chance. Bloodwork will answer more questions however, for now he's sleeping very softly and has had a bath for the skin infections.
Papa chose Jango for his new name. 💖
Meaning:Brave warrior; Awaken. Jango is a masculine name with South African and Romani roots. Coming from the Xhosa language, Jango translates to “brave warrior.
We cannot confirm he was utilized as a fighting bait dog. We cannot confirm he was attacked by family dogs or any type of wild animal. At this point, it's not important anymore.
No drama. No rumors. Just send prayers if you are inclined to do so for this brave 16# warrior. He's approximately 2.5 years old and no telling where he's been or where he's not been. All we know is he is now safe and getting care. With your support he will get thru everything we already know and whatever we have yet to find out. (Bloodwork and x-rays pending)
