Shammys Little Bindy “sweet pea”

If you would have told me how much this mare was going to impact my life I would have said you were crazy! I had seen Pea listed on Facebook, Lindsay Nordick had her consigned, after many messages to Camille Boldt, I met Lindsay to try her out. I didn’t expect to try her, fall in love with her and buy her that day. I was expecting a project horse but wasn’t expecting a heart horse. I called Lacey Huben when I left with Pea on the trailer and I’m pretty sure she thought I lost my mind but made me stop in so she could see her on my way home. We took some time getting to know each other and then started entering at her speed to gain confidence. Little did I know she was going to boost my own confidence and form a deeper enjoyment to run barrels. Some of my most memorable moments running barrels at rodeos and jackpots involve Pea. She loves mud, hates clay, loves cows, hates ranch work, loves to turn, loves kids and I swear she poses for photos. She’s a no nonsense mare- just leave her alone and hustle her and she’ll give her whole heart to you (she doesn’t like being told what to do- probably why we get along so well 🤣). Pea has had one foal 8 years ago that’s unfortunately broodmare sound only (she will have a post of her own). Miss Pea has been a stinker to get bred back since and after a lot of babying her we are expecting a 2025 foal by Flash Effect. I will always be thankful to the women that convinced me she needed to come home with me!!

Ranch Spotlight:
Shezepertybluejaguar "Jag"

85.37% Blue Roan Foundation Mare
Amber and Andy Neisemier bought Jag as a weanling. He started her, used her in the pasture and then began roping on her. She was started on the calf sled and then focused on heeling at jackpots. She was sold and was a competitive heel horse along with having a solid start in heading. Jag got hurt in the pasture and was broodmare sound only. Andy and Amber got the call to buy her back and they raised a heck of a foal. They sold her to a friend who had her for a few years and when he decided to sell her Amber called us. We watched the horse sale online, bought her sight unseen, Amber and Andy picked her up and took care of her until we could get down there. She is bred to Wimpys Custom Spook for a late April/early May foal. This mare is not only special to us but special to Andy and Amber and we are so excited to see this cross and future crosses with her!!

Ranch Spotlight:
Lightning W Penny

Lundy's dad bred and raised this 96% foundation mare. Lundy started her and it was quite apparent that she wasn't a fan of one person- JoJo. She had a great start and was sold to an awesome girl in northern MN that used her for gaming and barrel racing. When she was ready to move on from Penny she came back to us and what a blessing that was! Callan was ready for a step up and Penny became his. They competed at little britches rodeos, breakaway roping and he used her on the ranch. This mare LOVES Callan. We'd be riding out to the pasture and Callan would be doing trick riding stunts and she didn't care one bit she just kept walking. She still side eyes JoJo and refuses to let her even rinse her off. However- Callan can throw the lead rope on the ground and she just loves her person and her baths. This mare is truly one of a kind and is very special to our family!

Someday JoJo will win her over but as long as she loves the kids and keeps them safe that is all that matters!

Ranch Spotlight:
R***R- 2014 GELDING
By Bueno Chex Mix and out of a Eddie 87 bred mare
R***r is an exceptional ranch gelding and was started in barrels however Lundy put the stop to that really quick. This gelding is what I would consider to be a great all around horse that has a big heart and wants to please then he can go right back to work mode. (BUT he REALLY likes barrels) *hint hint
He is part of the reason we could NOT wait to get "Bueno Chex Mix" to Minnesota! Our first crop of Checkers foals will be arriving this spring and we can't wait!!

Lundy thinks he is his but really we all know he loves JoJo Wagner the most ;)

We hope to have our c**ts broke with a good foundation so they are ready to step into their next job! Andy Neisemier did an excellent job on starting Gater for us! We waited on sending Gater off to make sure he was ready to go especially because he’s a stud. We wanted him to be ready to be successful and are super excited to see what happens on their journey!
