Ruth had a teal experience
While training we had an opportunity for some live teal fly-by’s and land to amp up prey drive on waterfowl!
Tantor with some water work.
Working in the water!
More Tantor
Second installment of Tantor.
Tantor
I’ll post a few vids of Tantor to show how he’s progressing and what he’s looking like today.
It’s been 6 months since our last hunt……… We’re ready to roll again! #kwk #knottedwiregundogs
Not quite the blue angels
Turned em loose and let the afterburners kick in.
Dilly is a spitin Imogene of her mom!
But boy does she love playing fetch way more than Dally! Sure love the spunk of this little girl! ❤️
Willow finding her point
Willow just amazes every time I work with her! She’s always ready to learn and grow! Here she’s learning to find and pin down a pigeon.
Ruth continues to learn
Very happy with Ruth’s progress! From refusing to retrieve anything to hard hitting water work. Love her recently found enthusiasm.
Teaching Willow to “Place” and “Cast”
Willow is doing great with casting left and right and learning which direction I’m sending her. I’ll add 2nd base and home plate to her understanding between 1st and 3rd.
Meet Tantor #dallywho #knottedwiregundogs
Willow kennel training
Working with Willow on gun dog training and obedience. She hated, and I mean hated going in the kennel when asked (commanded). Check her progress out this morning!!
Dock diving, hard water hitting Romeo
Romeo, 15 weeks old, he’s not even 4 months old and he’s hitting the water and has this much retrieval drive! And he’s looking for a waterfowl and upland hunting home!
Silly fetching’ little Dilly
She sure does love to play fetch! #dallywho
Takin’ the Dodge for a spin
Little lawn work with this handsome feller……. Dodger.
Little water work with the pups.
Dodger decided water retrieves are a blast!
Manual releases to remote
I’ve had several questions and people asking for details about my making my manual releases remote control. I hope this helps you if you’re trying to accomplish something similar.
I can’t take credit for coming up with this on my own. I saw a post on a dog training page and the gentleman shared his component list with me so I could fab my own. As I ordered the parts, I was a little anxious thinking it was out of my wheel house on this project……… It was actually very easy!
Dilly learnin’ some manners
Working on sit (and a tad bit of stay). ☺️
Tantor 8 weeks old
Here’s Tantor showing off his retriever drive at 8 weeks old. Yes he’s fetching an old piece of firehose. You should see his drive on fresh quail or chukar!
GWP - Northeastern Colorado- have 4 more males with similar drive.
