🌟 We will have two box stalls coming available at our new barn 🌟

Located in Hillsboro off hwy 219

We are very excited to be moving into the barn formerly known as Marilyn’s Tack Shop. The barn has been apart of the horse community for a long time and the new owners have decided to continue to keep it an equestrian facility. With so many horse places closing, we are very thankful to have the opportunity to bring the barn back to life and to keep it in the community. Our future goal is to open the barn back up to the public for shows, clinics and events.

We will continue to have a small group of long term boarders. Our current boarders are the absolute best group of horse people and we are looking to add one to two more like minded people. We will have two box stalls available for either full care ($625/month) or partial care ($400/month you supply hay).

Current amenities include:
* Large indoor arena (new footing to be installed)
* Matted stalls
* Automatic waterers
* Large tackroom
* Large heated viewing room
* Two bathrooms
* Trailer parking
* Horses fed 3 x daily
* Owner supplied grain fed twice daily
* Full care includes local valley grass hay and eastern Oregon alfalfa

Future Amenities
* Washer/Dryer for blankets
* Grass pasture turnout (group or individual)
* Dry lot turnout (group or individual)
* Seasonal round pen
* Large outdoor arena
* Trail riding on the 77 acres
* Obstacle course

Thank you to Nathen from Wild Way Equine LLC Hoofcare & Horsemanship for coming out and taking good care of my two geriatric horses. Nathen was on time, professional and took the time get to know my horses and ask about their hoof history.
Highly recommend to those in the area looking for a reliable farrier.

The problem with horse training is that society is set up to believe that you can buy a service and have things the way you want in a certain time frame. People look at horse training as if they're spending their money on a product. And yet even the best horse trainers will tell you the horse takes its own time, and no one can guarantee a horse will be doing what you want from it when you want from it.

The other problem is that even if your trainer can get it done with your horse, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be able to. Getting a horse right takes an amount of commitment on the owners part to develop the same type of relationship that the trainer has, otherwise how can you expect from your horse for yourself what your trainer gets, when it's they who have put in the hours, the and sweat, the patience and the desire to get along with that horse? You aren't spending money on a tune up for your car that you can take home and drive.

The fact that money is involved leads people to believe they deserve something for what they paid, and they do, but, it happens in the animals time, not the humans. I think any good trainer would say they would do this for free if they could, just to help horses and people. And yet, we all have to eat...
