I love show cuts. I love clean feet and clean faces. I love the difference between breed shapes and angles.
I just kind of love dogs and the history that we have given them.
Now everybody point and laugh at poor Willa and her foster mom who gave her such a bad haircut.

Willa is available for adoption through @puplandiadogrescue
This is how I let my toddler play with our dog. The toddler likes chasing games, but the dog does not want to be chased. The dog likes tug and fetch, so we found a way to combine them where both toddler and Boogie are enjoying the game, no one is stressed out, and it could be stopped by anyone at any time.
Always supervise kids and dogs

Predatory drift and how a dog can suddenly become aggressive.
While this is not true aggression it is aggressive behavior due to the dogβs intent and willingness to complete the prey cycle.
βοΈTHIS is one of the big reasons reputable breeding is SO IMPORTANT
Domestication in dogs and high quality and controlled breeding allows for us to diminish or enhance a breeds genetic disposition towards certain aspects of these drives.
Additionally, different breeds will display different parts of the cycle in different ways. And some dogs will not fully complete certain parts of the cycle.
π This phenomenon of predatory drift and sudden aggression is why:
β
Toddlers, babies and small children should NOT be left unattended with dogs regardless of dogs size
β Dogs should not have play that goes on and on and on with no break/pause to lower arousal
If you wanna see this graphic in closer detail Iβll put it into my free dog owner community for you to study π€π

Dog training, people training
My little apprentice. She says what I say, and does what I do.
The majority of dog training looks really boring from the outside. However, this kind of thing, the sitting, waiting, building neutrality, and positive experiences is incredibly important.
Arguably more important than dealing with the huge reactions that get so much attention on social media.
