Wellness Wednesday: Summer Cautions! 🔥🐾🩹

With the warmer weather slowly approaching, please be more attentive when walking your dogs. The warmer the air temperature, the hotter the ground may feel which can cause your pet’s paws to burn. The first slide shares the air temperature and in comparison, how the ground would feel.

If you want to take your pet out, please be aware of the temperature. It is recommended to take your pet out either in the early mornings or late in the evening when it is cooler. You can also take your pet out and make sure they’re on the grass or that they’re wearing booties to protect their paws

Bringing your pet while you’re running errands can be nice. But make sure they’ll be coming with you outside the car too! Summer weather can be hazardous for pets, especially if left in the car. Even if it’s just for 5 minutes, the temperature inside the car will be hotter than the temperature outside.

If you see a pet stuck in a car and you notice the weather extremely hot and could lead to dangerous events, call for help immediately.

What a great day we had on Monday. Days like that are the reason why we love our job so much. We got to play with this two black lab puppies for an hour. Everyone got a little workout in and had loads of fun. Safe to day we didn’t get any work done either!

Kitten time is approaching! Cat tend to imprint on the food and litters that they are given with in the first year. Start them off right with a variety of options so you can avoid the picky cat syndrome! Weruva has a new kitten line that is treating the kittens right!
