The time has come that we announce that we are moving forward with dispersing all of our stock at WHQH. The majority of the horses left on the farm are broodmares and young horses. If you are interested in purchasing a well-bred show prospect, we have that. All horses are sold as is (we certainly won't sell you a lame horse without disclosing that should that be the case). If you are SERIOUSLY interested, please send us a message.

It has been very sweet to hear the wonderful stories that some have shared with us about Dad (Jim) and we will continue to monitor this page for a bit after the final sales as we want to see Dad's dream live on.

“Horsemanship”: the art or practice of horseback riding.

What is horsemanship to you?

Horsemanship to me is so much more than “the art or practice of horseback riding”. Anyone can swing a leg over a horse and say they have “great horsemanship”, but do they? Horsemanship to me is the friendship I share with every horse I swing my leg over. It’s every “thank you” after every run, every pat on the neck, every extra minute in the stall or field when I’m already running late. It’s every minute I spend making sure the stall is perfectly clean, their blanket fits just right, it’s even that extra carrot I toss in just because. Even on our bad days they still get that hug around the neck and the “thank you for the ride”. Our horses don’t know their price tag they only know the love and compassion we show them, why would we leave horsemanship at just “the practice of horseback riding”?
