It's a beautiful morning for coffee on the back patio while Mya and Lucy-Lu, the momma black cat that lives next door with her hubby, Lucifer, and their 5 babies, Storm, Midnight, Onyx, Noir, and Beryl, stare each other down. I don't think those are the names my neighbor has given them, but I couldn't stand just calling them kitty so I named them myself. 😊

October 4th is World Animal Day, and it doesn't take a genius to see the importance of ALL creatures. Every ecosystem is an interdependent web of nature... plants and animals. Humans are the weak link, driven by greed and the need for "expansion and progress" at the cost of Mother Earth and her inhabitants. We must learn to share and care for our planet like never before to make up the destruction we've already caused. The kids of tomorrow need us to protect Gaia's children, from smallest insects to the largest pachyderms, all have a right to live freely on this planet. Bring out your inner Jane Goodall and Steve Irwin and be a wildlife hero, an animal activist, an environmentalist. It's up to us. Together, we can.

Lunchtime Laugh... Me enjoying my mocha after a weeklong boil order has been lifted. I'm feeling pretty chi-chi, gotta tell ya! ☺️
