Our Story
Hi my name is Sean,
When I was 11 I began my mission in 2011 with a few things I gathered from some friends at my parents Halloween Party. I was not happy with the amount of stuff I had collected so I vowed to make it bigger and better and bring Little Shelter (Huntington NY) tons of stuff for Christmas. For two months - I pleaded with family and friends and put signs up all over my neighborhood to raise awareness for my mission. I loaded my parents Jeep and on 12/23/11 I delivered a Jeep FULL of at least $1,000 in donations!!! It felt great, I have been thinking about making my mission EVEN bigger and BETTER. During 2012 we recruited over 50 kids to pick a local shelter and DO the same On 12/21/12 our first united drive was complete, we raised together over $25,000 in donations nationwide. This year, I plan to coordinate a unified delivery date NATIONWIDE on 12/21/13 praying we collect for 100 or more shelters/rescues and sanctuaries. Ultimately my mission is to have each shelter in each town covered. There has to be at LEAST 1 kid in each TOWN willing to take this on but for now I will settle with 1 kid in each state and 100 kids in total.... So I am counting on networking and social sites to help me and my mission to HELP shelters to help more animals who are waiting for a home.

In our best hopes we have strived to cultivate this and many other monumental quotes or philosophical meanings into a philanthropic endeavor we as a charity take part in. By which in this process there is no discrimination, charity is not subjective nor will it be on our watch.
I hope in educational efforts by kids adopt shelter and it’s peers to prove this point, we donate, love, serve and protect animals and along the way we educate and grow our children, the people who stand for and or around the person/animal in need is no concern of ours. For whatever background, social standing, sexuality, gender, race and any other factor that makes a person or situation special is simply not part of the equation that makes KAS what it is. This beautiful outstanding part of our hearts is not to be affected by intra-personal drama. Please respect and understand my stance, as I will always strive to respect and understand yours.
Thank you,
-Sean Martin
