Seventh Installment of Meet The Mares

Meet, RS Lady Reba (Bremervale Andronicous++++// x FS Nova Star). She is coming seven, she was Sport Horse Nationals Top Ten mare Hunter Type in 2023. She was also showing Training Level Dressage.

She will be starting her endurance career this fall.

Her Dam, FS Nova Star had an endurance career of well over 7200 miles. Tons of pioneer rides. She did three one day 100's, which consist of two Tevis finishes and a Big Horn.

But wait, there's more. Being a Bremervale Andronicous daughter, makes her paternal sister to two horses on the WEG team in Tryon. She is also a sister to Ansa O Gabriel Style, A SERA Freshman horse of the year.
But yes, there more: this mare's dam is a paternal sister, to Jeremy and Heather Reynolds mare Treasured Moments dam.

She is a paternal sister to my mares, RS Lady Empress AM Rosalines Reward, and Joni Burden Glories Sweet Memories. Both RS Lady Empress and Glories Sweet Memories are 100 mile mares.

She is foal to VG Dreams Afar, baby is Sweepstakes nominated, due in about 8 weeks and will be for sale.

Sixth Meet The Mares

As promised, the first of three Bremervale Andronicus++++// daughters.

RS Lady Empress, nine year old mare I that purchased when she was green and four. She did a little showing, but hated the arena. I was like, ok girl no more of that arena work.

She earned her thousand endurance milage mark this past weekend at the Black Water Boogie 65. So she ended her season with, a First place finish, Best Condition, High Vet score AND a thousand mile medallion. She's the daughter of my mare, Al Marah Empress Elect, Empress is documented with the heart factor. Priss has it as well with super low heat rates and CRIs.

She will compete this coming season, then I'll breed her spring of 2026. She has a younger sister that starts down the trail this fall after her baby is weaned.

Fifth Meet The Mares
AM Heavenly Design (Al Marah Horatio x AM Shining Sword)

I bought her when she was around 12 and she had about 45 days on her years before. I decided to do a test of my endurance experience with her. The plan was to make her first ever endurance competition a one day 100. I prepared her for almost a year and then she did complete the 100 at Bigfoot. Success!!!!
She did a few 50's afterward, but had a rear lameness. Turns out she has a thumb sized bone spur on her stifle joint. So her career ended early.

She's had two foals, and I've had some issues getting her bred. But she's too nice not to try. Plan is to pasture breed early. She will be in with The Ice Age Man, QH stallion.
If we get a foal, will be either grey or palomino.

She's a big girl at 15.1 and huge bone.

Was blessed yesterday to have a couple ( Mark and Natalie) from England who are the publishers for, The Crabbet Heritage magazine come by the farm.

They are visiting selected Crabbet farms here in the US.

I made them a binder with all the pedigrees and accomplishments of each horse, then they could look at the breeding and the horse.

Titan and Parley proved to be the big ," In your pocket ponies" of the bunch. I had taken Far's mane down for the visit...all 43 inches of it. Wish I had gotten a pic.

Fourth Installment of Meet the Mares!!!

This is a pretty special mare to me. She's the third generation of my Petit Jet breeding. Her offspring will be a fourth generation of endurance horses. Now, let's get into it.

I have been competing on this Jet line since 1979.

Petit Jets Legacy (Selket Xerxes x Jets Gaelic Storme)
She is 7/8 Arab, 1/8 paint. Her sire is a pure Russian stallion, he was 16 hands with the biggest bone I've ever seen on an Arab.

Her dam, Jets Gaelic Storme was a proven 100 Mile mare, some of the 100's she completed were: Big Horn, Big South Fork and Old Dominion. She did do others, but these were the best.

She has so many ties to proven/ winning 100 Mile horses that's it's hard to mention. But Petit Jets Shadow did over 5000 endurance miles and eight one day 100's.
Petit Shamere, won most of what she entered.
Petit Jets Aries, won and BCed the Biltmore 100 AND won the three day Pioneer at Yellow Hammer.

Her grand dam, Jets Irish Rose, was a half Arab, half paint, she completed nine one day 100's. Some of which were, Two Old Dominion, two Spook Run and two Biltmore 100 and she also did the three day 155 at Yellow Hammer. Rose completed over 3000 endurance miles on her career.

Petit Jets Legacy aka SQUIRREL, also had an endurance career, but was hindered from stepping in a hole and doing suspensory damage. But she did do several 50's.

Squirrel has a foal in CA that's is being started under saddle currently. She is four and a few months. Her name is Farway Jets Promise aka Chipmunk. Hope to see her on trail soon.

She is currently in foal to VG Dreams Afar. This foal was a contract foal purchased in utero. She is due in February of 2025. If someone is interested in another foal, I would breed her one more time... But that's it..

Third Installment of Meet The Mares.
Today is going to be dedicated to AM Lady Liberty Wins+/. She scored third highest when tested for the X Factor and was the only one tested that had a Thoroughbred rhythm.

Her barn name is Libby, she was the AHA 100 Mile Champion, and finished 3rd in the Tevis that year. All of which earned her the title of Eastern Crabbet Horse of the year in 2014.

I have a lovely 2 and half year old filly, Farway Liberty Bell, Libby is in foal, which isn't easy at this point because she has a lot of cysts.

This foal is Sweepstakes and will be for sale. Not many chances for a mom like this. Due January 25. VG Dreams Afar is the sire.

My second installment of Meet The Mares!!!!

Was a little torn between two mares the same age, but y'all already know a bit about Libby( She will be next).

But this is a newly acquired mare.... A very special one.

This is Al Marah Empress Elect. She scored the highest on the heart factor with Al Marah. Her offspring carry it. Her daughter, RS Lady Empress aka Priss demonstrates this at every ride.

My good friend, Frank Moody recently purchased a half Arab gelding out of this mare. Perfect HW Horse. He should also carry the heart factor.

She's a big mare with nine inch cannons, retired but sound. ( She's 21 and has been a lesson horse) She is in foal to Lisa Littrell 's QH stallion, The Ice Age Man. He is a sire to MANY National Sport horse winners.
Foal will be Sweepstakes nominated. He is clear of all QH genetic disorders.

This foal will be for sale, should mature around 15.3, palomino, with that heart factor. A HW riders dream.

This is a first of a "Meet the Mares" post that I plan to do. I have a TON of horses, and I don't think folks realize just what I have. So here's mare number one will kinda do them in order of oldest to youngest.

First up, Payback Atlantica (AM Ghost Ship x Nazdar Pacifica) she's certainly the matriarch.
She is 24 years old now, been a proven show horse in hand and low levels of Dressage before becoming a lesson horse. In her later years, a proven broodmare. She is the dam of Farway Sea Titan, a Sport Horse Nationals Top Ten C**t in 2023.
She has foaled six babies so far.

Atlanta had my most perfect filly to replace her this past spring. Unfortunately, she broke her leg at around 2 and half months. So she's open now, working to breed her one more time ( she's very reproductive healthy). She will be bred to an Al Marah Swift son.

Sweepstakes Half Arab/TWH filly. She is two and half months old.

Sired by VG Dreams Afar, National Top Ten Sport Horse stallion, and out of the registered TWH mare, Wise Guys Amber Doll.

Sire can fox trot !!!!!!

This filly is a pretty hard to find in the Part Arab world of color, an Amber champagne. Currently she is darker than her older full sibling. This girl still shows some lateral movement, so *could* be taught to gait if desired, if not, she'lll gladly trot.

Should mature at least 15 hands if not bigger. Older sister is a tad under 13.3 at 14 months. Her sibling is headed to Sport Horse Nationals in Sept.
This filly has very correct conformation and is eligible for the Eastern Crabbet certification.

She could go to Sport Horse Nationals and is eligible for money classes, OR she could win money at the Regional and National AHA endurance Rides.

Offering Farway Pirates Parley (VG Dreams Afar x Payback Atlantica) Sweepstakes nominated yearling gelding.

Sire, VG Dreams Afar was National Top Ten Two year old c**t, and he returned in 2023as a mature stallion to become a National Top ten Sport Horse Stallion. He was Top Five in Western Dressage at Region 15. He is currently showing in Western Dressage and doing endurance.

Dam is one of the few remaining horses from the Payback Ranch breeding program. Atlantica has shown in Dressage and then turned lesson horse before becoming a proven broodmare. Her last foal, Farway Sea Titan was Top Ten Yearling c**t in 2023. Titan is a full brother to Parley.

Parley has an "in your pocket pony" personality. Parley loads, ties, easily accepts horse blankets and fly spray. He is UTD on Vaccinations and Coggins. His full brother brought home money from Sport Horse Nationals, he could too. Parley should mature around 15-15.1 hands.

Ava spent some time with Juju while her mom rode Memo. We cleaned stalls, and drove around on the mule.

VG Dreams Afar and the others had the neighbor girls come over for a visit. They have to come back and give him a good soapy bath. My wild crazy Arabian stallion.

Happy Valentines day from VG Dreams Afar

Farway Dreamadventure (VG Dreams Afar x AM Sweet Success) coming home from her first trip to the vet. Vinti had her coggins, vaccinations and health certificate for her trip next month up to Canada to her new home. She even self loaded in the trailer to come home.

Well, Sweetie still likes her baby, BUT, not enough now to let her nurse. She did nurse some during the night. But turned out she just moved away. Back to the bottle and force mom some we go. EDIT: went out and hand fed her some alfalfa. She stood for the baby to nurse. Thinking she just still sore.

Well, we did the Love drug cocktail on Sweetie. If I had not been standing there watching, it would be hard to believe. I mean it was a miracle change in that mare. She LOVES her baby. It only took about 15 minutes, then show her the baby, wipe her sweat on her and BOOM. Instant love. PS. And she was not tranquilized.
