Everyone understands the problem with cat over-population and the need for Spay and Neuter programs. The question is WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE CATS (and kittens) ALREADY BORN? Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption. Cat’s Cradle Rescue is an all volunteer non-profit rescue group formed to promote the well-being and adoptability of local Oregon cats. We provide loving foster homes where abandoned and shelter felines can socialize in a family environment while receiving medical care, spay and neuter surgery with the goal of being adopted into qualified caring homes.

1)Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.

2) Helping the Community

Traditional shelters in our area do not accept owned pets. We help cats stay in their current homes until adoption and offer free online postings and guidance. We do not have space in our foster homes for every cat and accept cats only when a home is available.

3) How You Can Help? Have you considered being a foster parent? Housing cats or kittens on a temporary basis is a win for the feline, a win for the adopter and a feel-good win for you as your care saves lives. Become part of the solution! Donate:

Elke and Hanna do their Saturday weigh-in. They do not belong to a gym or do Weight Watchers but at 5-months on October 1st they are Big Girls. Both are about 7.5-lb which is super-sized for their age! Oh, and smart too. They love our catio, love racing around and love our older adult cats. They would also love a Forever home with room to run (indoors of course!) Lap cats extrordinaire. Non-stop purrs too.

🐾 Meet Jujube! 🐾
Hey there! I'm Jujube, a one-year-old kitty who's spent the last month being a supermom! While I love my kittens, they're growing up now, and it's time for me to focus on my future. 💁‍♀️
✨ I dream of a home where I don't have to share my humans' attention (I'm kinda over the other cats and that noisy dog here!). My foster mom says I'm the sweetest girl—though I’m not much of a lap cat, I do love being near my people and soaking up all the love.
👑 Speaking of love... I absolutely adore being brushed! Just show me the brush, and I’ll come right over. How cute is that? 😻 Check out my medium-length coat—it’s luxurious, and I know you’ll love brushing it as much as I love being brushed!
🏡 I’ve had some visits from kids at my foster home, and I really enjoy their company. I think having my own human kiddos to give me all the pets sounds pretty amazing! My mom thinks I’d thrive as an only cat though—after all, I’ve been in protective mom mode for a while and haven’t had much time to make furry friends.
🌟 I’m a special girl and should be an indoor-only kitty. Oh, and I come fully prepared for my forever home: spayed, vaccinated, wormed, flea-treated, and microchipped, all for a rehoming fee of $125.
If you’re looking for a sweet, independent, and loving cat, I'm your girl! 💕 Fill out an application, and let's make this official!

ABANDONED just now!!!! Found on the corner of McLaughlin and Naes in Milwaukie, a box with mom and 3 kittens. What is wrong with people being so desperate that they resort to this? We know this is more than a "bad year" for cats and kittens in our tri-county area - - it is the worst we have seen in 20 years. To resort to abandoning in a closed box...words fail us. The community is resorting to unprescedented instances of abandoning, discarding, starving and ignoring cats struggling to survive. People PLEASE have compassion. We all agree we need a solution but THIS IS NOT IT.

✨ Winky the Kitten is Available for Adoption! ✨
Hey everyone! 🐾 I’m Winky, the one-eyed gray and white tuxedo kitten who loves to wink! 😉 I lost my eye as a baby due to an injury, but it hasn’t slowed me down one bit! I can play, snuggle, and enjoy life just like any other kitten. 💙
But here’s the best part—I’m not alone! Meet my best friend, Princess Rubie. She’s a sweet Ragdoll mix who’s been my buddy ever since we were tiny little fluffballs. Rubie can’t stand being apart from me, and honestly, I feel the same. We’re an inseparable duo! 😸👑
We’re looking for a forever home together because we bring out the best in each other. We love humans, especially kind kids, and we’re totally cool with cat-friendly dogs too. 🐶💕
Thank you to everyone who helped with my eye surgery—I’m healthy and ready for my new adventure, and Cats Cradle Rescue thanks you too! 🙏

MCAS has an urgent need for bottle baby feeders!! Can you help?

Hi there! We have three groups of Bottle Babies that we are not having any luck placing into foster care. Do any of you have any fosters available?

One group is about 3 weeks old and have URI with eyes crusted shut. There are 3 in this group.

The second set is about 2-3 weeks old and there are only two left with a litter that started with six. Excerpt from our medical team " I have two neonotes. 3-4 weeks old. Latched well on syringe and ni**le. Back story there was 6 2 were found dead last night when they were found in a park, 1 was found dead this morning and one I euthanized on arrival. I dont know if there is someone specific you want to foster these or anybody! They seem apparently heathly."

The 3rd group has 4 kittens that are about 2-3 weeks old as well. They also have some crusty eyes are tiny for their age..

Please let us know if you have anybody that can help. Thank you!

Meet Jack Jack!
Jack Jack is a sweet and sophisticated little boy with a big heart. He loves cuddling and enjoys spending quality time with his humans. He feels most comfortable when he's close to the people he loves. Jack Jack is very playful, often seen having a great time with his brother, Gus.
Despite being a bit smaller, his intelligence helps him keep up during playtime!
Jack Jack is experienced with other pets and has been around older cats and dogs. While he may need a bit of a slow introduction to dogs, he is overall very brave and adaptable. If you're looking for a loving, clever kitten who will be a wonderful companion, Jack Jack could be the perfect addition to your home!
He is 4 1/2 months old

Simone
She's very personable and friendly, rubbing up to anyone for head scratches and pets. Once she has your attention, she'll flop down for a full petting. Her other favorite things are napping on the bed and grooming herself-- she's very calm, chill kitty.
Shes a short-haired tabby with a tuxedo-style white neck, belly, and "boots," long white whiskers, and golden eyes. We don't know much about Simone's history, but she seems to be a young cat and is currently about 7 pounds. She is totally comfortable around all kinds of humans, but so far we haven't introduced her to other animals.
