As we are approaching apple and pear season, we wanted to send out a final reminder to our wonderful customers that Jossy Farms has permanently closed. After 46 years of selling fruit, we removed the apple and pear orchards. While this was a difficult decision, I have to admit that having my first summer off in 46 years is a little bit exciting. We will keep you posted if we find any grand adventures.

Jossy Farms Opening day is this Thursday, August 25! Open days will be 8/25-8/27, 9/1-9/3, and 9/8-9/10 (Thurs-Sat).

All u-pick fruit will be $1.50 per pound. Open hours are 9am-1pm Thursday and Friday and 9am-2pm on Saturday.

Have you ever had a red clamp pear or early gold apple? If not, now is your chance! Red clap pears are great for fresh eating and salads. They are incredibly sweet and maintain a slight crisp texture. The Early Gold apples are also great for fresh eating! I put them in the kids lunches daily. If you like apple sauce early gold makes a beautiful blonde sweet apple sauce. I’m making my applesauce 50/50 with gravenstein and early gold for reduced sugar.
