I'm such a big believer in pet therapy! What a great article β™‘ Cuddling, brushing, or even just feeling your pet near is a fast way to ground yourself during a panic or anxiety attack. β™‘

Co-regulation is a key part of healing trauma.

And the reality is some people just don’t feel safe with humans. They’re more guarded. Their body remembers and shut down. Or, goes into fight or flight.

Pets offer co-regulation with complete trust. They are masters at just being. I’m a big believer of a future where pets will be a part of all trauma healing.

Find small times in your day to just lay with or cuddle your pet. Watch them sleep comfortably. It will send cues of safety to your body.
