The Georgia Dept of Agriculture sent out a compliance notice to pet food and treat manufacturers in the state. Just so you are aware, it states that no food or treats can be sold that contain unpasteurized milk, unpasteurized eggs, or any raw poultry. I already ensure that products don't contain any of these items but keep it in mind if you're shopping for your pets. The steps are to try and limit the spread of H5N1 (avian flu).

FDA has determined that it is necessary for manufacturers of cat and dog foods to reanalyze their food safety plans to include HPAI virus (H5N1).

If you're curious about how much weight is lost from dehydration: this was 5lbs of chicken hearts. I already bagged up 2oz so 14.1oz total from 5lbs. That equals 7 bags at about 2oz each.

It definitely doesn't feel this small when I'm cleaning and drying them 😅

*Not pet related* in order to get delivery for the meat for the market, I had to have a certain amount of case items. It turns out that there were way more than I thought of each of these items per case. If you would like a can of 3lbs of olives (I thought they were normal sized cans!!!!) they are only $6 each.

1 FULL pork shoulder (16 to 18 lbs approximately) $30, that's less than $2 per lb and this is a lot of meat.

1 case of 150 plastic containers, sized for 28oz. Great for anyone doing home kitchen sales.

Guess who's ready for the market???? I can't possibly cram anything else in either freezer! Lamb bones, ground beef, beef for jerky, goat, salmon, and lots of broth all ready to go into some lucky pup's belly!!!!
