American Greyhound, in partnership with Daphne Legacy Tour, is preparing to welcome our next tour of galgos in November. These gentle souls are in desperate need of safe and loving foster homes as they begin their journey to recovery here in the U.S.

🏡 **What We Need:**
- American Greyhound supplies vet care and all other supplies you may need. We ask that you provide love, patience, and roof over their heads, and food in their bellies.

Meet 4 year old Konrad. He is a Galgo from Spain. Konrad is settling in well to his foster home. He is a bit leary of men but if they have food he quickly overcomes his fear. He doesn't get up on furniture. He is just as happy sitting on the floor next to his foster mom getting scritches. He walks well on a leash and while he saw a cat and was interested, he redirected really easily and kept walking. He's a perfect gentleman on a leash. He loves being outside, he prances around the yard with his foster brothers and is happy to lay on the grass, watching birds. He has a very sweet disposition. Konrad would do best in a home without cats.

🐾Tubbs and Inspector Javert are still searching for their forever home together🐾

This adoptable pair has been featured before. Tubbs and Inspector Javert (Jib Jab) are two whippet mixes who recently made their way to Indiana from Kauai, Hawaii. Due to circumstances beyond their control they ended up in the Kauai Humane Shelter and were roommates. Due to overcrowding, the shelter reached out to rescues on the mainland and two flights later these boys arrived in Chicago! Tubbs is a one year old who is on the shy side. He relies on Javert’s company. Javert is 5. Other than some singed fur both are healthy and love each others company! Do you have room in you heart and home for these sweet boys?

If you need to make other arrangements, your own photo can be used as long as it fits the resolution requirements. You will also receive ten (10) calendars. Meet Raton! He’s 7 year old Galgo. He is very affectionate and likes people. He loves to extend his paw out to you!! He takes a minute to warm to men and then he’s fine with them. He does well in a home with other dogs. And he would be equally happy to have you to himself! A very sweet, calm boy. Raton did not test well with cats. His Adoption fee is $900. Otis is a distinguished older gentleman who has sadly found his way back into rescue after being in a loving and dedicated family. Otis is believed to be 8-10yrs old. His owners health has rapidly declined and now he needs a new place to call home. Otis is currently being fostered with young children and other dogs. We believe he would do best in a home without cats. Otis has excellent leash manners and kennels well. If you’re looking for a best friend who only wants to be by your side, Otis is the boy for you!

Marino is a 4 year old Galgo. He is a timid boy who is learning to trust humans. He loves morning walks and his cozy bed. Sleeps well in his crate and is great on the leash. He’s still getting used to loud noises and new people but seems to warm up quickly. Would prefer a quiet home. Marino would prefer a home without cats. Adoption fee $900

Cassandra (Cassie) Cassie is a beautiful 3 year old Galga from Spain. She is a very shy girl who will need time to open up to new people. She is adjusting to sudden movements & regular household sounds. She enjoys her kennel & is great about going outside for potty. Cassie has recently discovered the couch & that is her favorite place to be! She really loves snuggles. She is adjusting to her foster’s Italian greyhound but overall seems great with other dogs! She likes to cuddle up to the other dogs when she is comfortable but also likes her own space some times. She’s a skinny little girl & LOVES all treats. She also needs encouragement going out and about but she’s a sweetheart and will let you pick her up and help her if she is scared. Cassie also loves her bestie Alexa. She likes to follow her around the house and yard. She would do best with another dog after she has warmed up to them. Cassie tested cat workable in Spain. Adoption fee $900

Alexa is a 3 year old Galga all the way from Spain. She is a shy girl, but her personality has started to shine through her fears. She is a goofy girl who is interested in playing with toys, but still learning how! She is a very good listener & we believe she could easily learn simple commands. She would be great in a house with other dogs. Her & her foster sister Cassie are two peas in a pod. Alexa really enjoys a good meal and a treat or two! She’s very good about letting us know she needs to go outside for potty. When she isn’t ready to go she typically needs some encouragement to come out of her kennel (or off the couch lol). She is still adjusting to normal household sounds & she does not like sudden movements. She is doing an amazing job at adapting & becoming more relaxed each day. Alexa loves a good cuddle & just wants to be loved on. Alexa test cat workable in Spain. Adoption fee $900.

Say hello to Payo, the five-year-old Galgo who astounds everyone he encounters with his gentility. He‘s an excellent walker and napper, quiet and quick to make himself comfortable in different settings. We are working on climbing stairs and crate training. If you are looking for a sweet companion with an expressive tail, you’ll want to meet him. Payo would be happiest in a home without cats. Adoption fee $900.

Kurt is a 4 year old Galgo from Spain. Kurt is a very social, happy boy and loves to be part of the fun! He gets along well with the foster homes other Galgos and Weimaraner and loves the people. He would be good with older kids. Kurt is prey driven so no cats and a 6’ privacy fence is required or a commitment to hand walking. He crates well. Could you be the family this sweet boy is looking for? Adoption fee is $900.

Arrow is a sweet, timid but beautiful boy who is still curious about his new world. He enjoys pets and scratches, but is still leary of kisses. He would do best in a home with another dog(s). He does very well in a crate and walks well on a leash. He gets an A+ in potty training/house training thanks to frequent trips to the yard. He will require a little time to adjust to his new environment as he learns and begins to trust his new humans. He will blossom into a wonderful companion for his new family.

Shaun is a 4 year old Galgo from Spain. He is continuing to warm up to the house, sounds and his foster people. He is very shy around men initially but with a bit of patience he warms right up. Shaun will make a good family dog as he does well with the children in his foster home. He is playing well with his foster Greyhound brother and a small puppy as well. Shaun tested cat safe in Spain.
