A man in Stanton, CA has been homeless for the past 12 months. He currently lives on the streets and receives disability along with food stamps and has no transportation currently.
He reached out to Feeding Pets of the Homeless for his 8-year-old neutered male chihuahua mix, Sabbath. Sabbath had an eye infection along with diarrhea and vomiting.
An intake was completed and homeless verification was provided.
FPOTH approved an exam at a partner veterinary hospital in his area.
Once the exam was complete the owner had stated that the dog had been having seizures. The dog would need to be seen by a specialist to determine the cause of the seizures.
At his appointment, Sabbath was provided an injection for nausea and completed an eye stain to verify eye infection. Medication was provided to take home along with an e-collar to keep Sabbath from scratching at his eye.
Feeding Pets of the Homeless contributed $226 towards Sabbath’s care.
