This pine island female has been under recovery the last few months from breeding season and bad calcium crash. Breeding can be really rough on the chahoua females! She is recovering well though and gaining back her strength.

One of my female leachianus had an open wound under her neck from breeding. I separated her into a sterile tub and treated her for 3 weeks. I washed the wound every morning and evening with saline wash and treated with triple antibiotic ointment. The wound is now closed up and no longer requires treatment. She will need a few months for the skin to completely heal.

It is always good to keep an emergency supply kit when keeping geckos. Hopefully I can provide a full list of what I keep in my kit sometime soon.
