⚠️ XYLITOL ALERT: This "harmless" sweetener is deadly for pets! In honor of National Food Safety Education Month, we're highlighting one of the most dangerous foods for pets: xylitol. This artificial sweetener causes rapid insulin release in pets, leading to severe low blood sugar. Pets become weak, lose coordination, and may vomit or collapse.
Even tiny amounts are deadly - just 0.1 grams per kilogram of body weight causes problems. If your pet ingests xylitol, call your vet immediately. Don't wait for symptoms and never induce vomiting unless told to do so. Contact us! https://hobokenvets.com/contact/
