As the proverb goes “teach a man to fish” or in our case learn how to trap! Neighborhood Cats hosts a virtual learn to TNR workshop every month. If you feed or care about the outdoor cats on your block the best way to help them is to spay and neuter. The workshop link is in our linktree in our bio.

A SAD AND URGENT PLEA!

This is Vivian (tabby) and Desi (b/w). You may know their story.

Born to Lucy, a sweet but feral girl who was herself only a baby, these 2 girls were at their mama's side until she was tragically hit by a car in August. We were able to trap them and move them into an amazing foster home knowing that they would need a patient, understanding, and loving hand to help them adjust to life with humans.

Sadly, due to circumstances beyond anyone's reach and certainly not because of anything on their part, they needed to leave that wonderful place and were not able to be completely socialized. They are currently in a temporary situation that is stressing them terribly.

We are now trying once again to find a place where they can either be worked with by an experienced foster or be allowed to be the cats that they are now -- that is, not necessarily feral but indoors and independent of their human family.

They are spayed, vaccinated, vetted, and FIV/FeLV negative and are being sponsored by CAP.

Rocky is a young boy just so excited by life! Super friendly, good with just about everything and everybody! He is in training now and killing it! He is also super smart apparently😊not to mention good looking. If you’re looking for a four legged addition to your family, Rocky is the one👍

IT TAKES A VILLAGE…

When one of our volunteers discovered a young mom and her 6 babies earlier this summer, our amazing friends at PAD PAWS Animal Rescue and A Purrfect JC jumped on board to help.

Sadly, mama Lucy didn’t survive a life on the streets. We all made a promise to her, though, to take care of her babies, and — again — with our rescue/TNR friends, we were able to save her 4 boys and 2 girls.

The girls are being socialized by an experienced rescuer, and her boys have been fostered by another loving family. Today, there is only ONE little guy left to find his forever family!
