I am certified in Pet CPR & First Aid through American Red Cross and Fear Free Certified in grooming through Fear Free Pets. While I know that not all cats are show cats of course, I believe that all cats deserve to be treated with safe, calm handling and be groomed beautifully. This is a really special one!!
I’m so, so thrilled I was able to help this beauty queen, senior Ragdoll girl, Lola. She had some matting on her belly, up one side, and her chest which is painful so her owner was unable to comb her. These things happen. Her previous groomer had closed shop in 2020. Sweetheart Lola needed some professional help.

This beautiful cat is 20 years old!!! She looks absolutely incredible at 20! This is what love is my friends! ♥️ Love keeps you young. 🥰😻

Senior cats have VERY fragile skin. Just like us humans, as we age, our skin becomes thinner and more delicate as we don’t produce as much collagen. I only shaved off her mats. This is called a comfort groom. It’s not for looks. It is to relieve her of her discomfort from mats tugging at her delicate skin (think butterfly 🦋 wings).
Her coat will come back beautifully. She received a bath, blow dry, and comb out. She was definitely feeling better and ate a salmon churu for me. She did amazing for every step of the groom. I’m soo happy she went home mat free and clean. 🫶🏼
Her mom is too! And now she is ready to comb her with the appropriate combs for a long hair cat.

Milo is a spicy🌶️ domestic longhair with a cream color coat which is prone to matting easily. He had some matted fur that needed shaved into a modified lion cut with sedation. I saved his tail as it had small mats that can be combed out. He is young and gives his mom a hard time about combing him at home. Hopefully it’s just the mats because they hurt. I also trimmed his bean sprouts (toe tuft trim) as he had some litter there and a little mat on two of them.

He has some marbling which is skin damage from the mats. Now that his skin can breathe it will heal. I will work with him for regular grooming so that he can stay mat free and will hopefully not need sedated for any more grooms!

Gabapentin will be on board for his next groom and we’re hoping that will be enough to take the edge off for him now that he doesn’t have painful mats.

He is a super sweet boy but strongly dislikes his carrier. He had a rough past so I don’t judge him. He likes to be pet. ♥️

We can do this Milo!!! I want to keep him mat free and clean. Mom does too! 🥰😻

Bowie and Freddie are two adorable American Shorthair babies who received their first full coat groom today!

They are squirmy for their nail trims (pretty much all babies are!). This is normal. They are active in the bath too, nervous, but did so good for their first time. They both are so well behaved for their gentle eye and ear cleaning.

They were not fans of the cage dryer, even on low. So, to not stress them, I towel dried them instead and combed them. They loved to be combed. So sweet!!

They each got a salmon/tuna churu after and some pets. ♥️🙌🏼 They’re very good babies! Can’t wait to see them again in 12 weeks!
I always love finishing on a positive experience for the cats.

Baikal, the young handsome Siberian, received his full coat groom with me yesterday!

He is a perfect angel for his nail trim, bath, gentle eye and ear cleaning and blow dry. He also enjoyed being combed out the most.😻♥️ He is such a model!

Nova, the gorgeous Siberian, got her full coat groom with me yesterday! She also received a sanitary trim to help her keep tidy.
She did great for having me de-mat her. One larger mat needed shaved. This is stressful for them. She was overdue for her groom. And miss Nova was giving her owner a hard time about combing her at home. So now we have her on a schedule. ♥️ No more mats for Nova.

Matting and dandruff occur due to an oily coat. Some cats produce more oil than others (just like people). They lick themselves to spread the oil. However, it builds up in the coat. As licking is not cleaning. Oil is sticky on hair and fur. As cats shed, their fur sticks to itself and creates a tangle. The sticky tangle gets bigger as more dead coat is shed and becomes a mat. Mats tug at the skin and are uncomfortable. They can cause skin irritation (the redness in photo), bruising, sores, skin damage, and hide an infection if left untreated.

Nova went home mat free and clean. 😻♥️ Look at that gorgeous triple coat! (Siberians are one of the two cat breeds with a triple coat!)

Pepper is a beautiful solid black domestic longhair cat.
She had some larger mats on her belly so she received a belly shave and sanitary trim. She is a good girl! She did amazing for her first bath. She has dandruff, so I gave her a good scrub. Regular maintenance grooming will help rid her of her dandruff and help prevent matting.
She did great for her Blowdry. She likes to hide. ♥️ So I gave her a towel to hide her face under. So cute. She didn’t mind her comb out after.
Miss Pepper went home clean, soft and most importantly , mat free. And she smells good too! 🫶🏼 What a sweet kitty. 🐈‍⬛

Millie, the stunning solid white Siberian, received her modified lion cut today!!
She is an angel for her nails, a little squirmy for her modified lion cut (saved tail, no mane) but an angel, her bath, gentle eye and ear cleaning, and her final comb out. She is purrrrrfect. 😻
Can’t wait to see her again! I’m so sad she is moving 😭 I will miss her.
I’m happy she loves her new cat toys 🥰

Zeus is a timid red mackerel tabby, American shorthair.
He received a full coat groom.
His sister Shira was good for her nail trim, nervous but good. She would not tolerate a bath.

Zeus is good for his nail trim. He did well in the bath. Nervous but seemed to enjoy his warm soapy water massage. He even lay down. He is good for his gentle eye and ear cleaning.

He was okay in the cage dryer at first. But then became frightened in the cage dryer after about 10min, so he went home wet. It’s not worth stressing him out to dry him. He will air dry at home. I combed him.

Some Gabapentin would definitely help him relax next time.
He’s so sweet and cute! ♥️

Baby Ruth is a brown spotted tabby colored gal who received her full coat groom with me today! She also got a belly shave and sanitary trim to help prevent future matting and to help her keep tidy. You can see skin damage from mats in the last photo. This is normal and her skin will heal now that she is mat free. Her owner will comb her at home between grooms.

She did wonderfully for everything. She is a perfect angel. Even for her mat removal. 😻♥️ Look at that gorgeous clean, soft, mat free coat! I just love her.

Louie, the blue point lynx mitted Ragdoll, received his Modified Lion Cut (keep tail full, no mane) Thursday. He also had his toe tufts trimmed (helps prevent litter scatter and slipping on hard floors).
♥️ He is my own personal cat. He cries a little for his warm massaging bath but stands there like a good boy. He is very dramatic for his blow dry, but tolerates it. He needs his happy hoodie to muffle sound, as he is scared of the vacuum at home.
Otherwise, he is a perfect angel. He is so much happier at home with his new summer haircut.

Ralph & Coco, two gorgeous fluffy Siberian cats, were groomed by me Thursday. Coco is not a fan of most of the grooming process.
Her little brother, Ralph, is such a good boy. He does well for the entire groom.

They both ate a churu treat for me at the end of their grooming! I love finishing on a positive experience for them whenever possible. I think Coco forgave me 🥰

Apollo is a feisty red & white mackerel tabby, American shorthair. Apollo is Archimedes housemate.
He received a full coat groom. He was nervous so I didn’t take too many pictures. Had more focus on him.
He did not like his nails trim on his back legs or his bath. He did well in the cage dryer. He did well for the HV dryer except on his back legs. Took some swipes at me! So to not stress him, I didn’t fully dry them.
He was combed out and went home clean, most importantly. Some Gabapentin would help him relax next time.
He’s so cute! He is not a fan of me lol. He ate a Churu for me so we left on a positive note. ♥️😻

Archimedes is all business in the front & party in the back! 🎉 😆 He received a bolero hair cut to help his owners manage his fur matting (clumps of fur). I love the bolero! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
He was stressed for his bath so he was only degreased - not worth stressing him for a second shampoo. Humanity over vanity. Gabapentin would help him next time for the bath process. He needed it to remove his oil build-up, which causes matting and dandruff.
He did really well for the cage dryer and then the HV dryer to finish.
He LOVED to be combed out, purring and even ate a churu treat for me! I’m happy we left on a positive note. ♥️🥹

Archimedes went home clean and most importantly, mat free.

Ava, the spicy lovable blue and white domestic longhair, was given a modified lion cut yesterday! 🌶️
I love her, but she does not feel the same lol. She will feel so much better and happier at home.
I love her blue patches.
She did not like the clippers. She was good for her bath. She tolerated her blow dry and comb out. She is mad at me. Better her mad at me than her mom though!

Mika the glamorous calico domestic longhair, got groomed by me yesterday! She is a wiggly lady. She had some mats on her belly so I gave her belly a belly shave - you can see the oil spots (pictured). I gave her a good scrub in the tub and oil spots are gone! 🥰 No more mats for Mika! Her owner got to see her spay tattoo for the first time 🥹
She did great for drying and combing out. She went home clean and mat free!

Maya, the sweet domestic longhair, was in need of a summer hair cut. She received a lion cut. Such a great girl.
Very well behaved for her bath and she even fell asleep in my cage dryer. 🥰
I didn’t want to stress her with the HV dryer. I combed her out and she purred for me! She is such a sweetheart! Shes all clean now. I can’t want to see her again. ♥️😻

Olive, the gorgeous brown patched tabby and white Maine C**n, was groomed today!
I used my lunch break 🥰 to help rid her of her uncomfortable fur mats.
She was given a wide belly shave and sanitary trim to help her and her mom keep her clean and mat free, along with the recommendation of a routine grooming schedule. ♥️

Maine C**ns are extra oily kitty’s. This is the root cause of fur matting/clumping.

She was not a fan of the clippers or combing of the legs, but she did great for her bath and blow dry. 😻 I trimmed her “pants” as well. Such a squirmy sweetheart.

Look at those luscious toe tufts and ear tufts! 😍 So pretty. I hope to see her again soon!!

Sunny, the lovely senior mitted tortoiseshell, was in need of a lion cut due to her fur matting.
She was given some gabapentin by her owner to help her through this groom. Mats hurt! She was not a fan of the clippers and she has arthritis in her hind legs.

She was relaxed through the bath. ♥️
No blow dry as she is being treated for a skin issue. She also had dandruff. She air dried and I combed her remaining fur out. She went home clean and mat free!! ⭐️

🌟 Regular bath & blow dry is the best mat-prevention. Along with combing in-between grooms.
Can’t wait to see her again for her follow up groom in September! 😻

Brownie was groomed today! She’s a shy, senior chocolate American shorthair lady. Super sweet.
She did great for everything for her first time! Proud of her! Mom was too. She’s proud of both cats.

She is shedding a lot along with her brother Robbie. Check out all that hair in the drain from just a bath! (Last photo)

Regular bath and blow dry schedules can help reduce (or even eliminate) shedding. ♥️
Can’t wait to see them both again in 3 months!

Aww Robbie! My heart ♥️
Robbie is a senior American shorthair kitty with health complications who needed grooming. He had some mats on his hips, butt, and tail. I went extra slow with him, as it’s his first groom.
Robbie does not tolerate a happy hoodie, e-collar, or air muzzle. Nothing on his head. He does have a bite history.

He did great! He even seemed to enjoy his warm massaging bath, as long as I don’t touch his back legs too much. 🥰
He didn’t mind the blow dry after getting used to it. He likes to be combed on his head, chest and shoulders, but no where else lol. He did so well! I’m proud of him.

And best of all, he went home mat free and clean. 😻
Can’t wait to see him and his sister again!! Every 3 months.

Such a love. ♥️ He gives lots of rubs and head boops.

Napoleon, the gorgeous Ragdoll, received his first groom with me today! His sister did too. 🥰 Just look at those beautiful blue eyes! Mesmerizing!

No mats! Mom does an excellent job at combing them both at home.
I told her I will take care of the rest. 😻 ♥️

Napoleon received a nail trim, sanitary trim, toe tuft trim, gentle eye and ear cleaning, bath, blow dry, and comb out. Just like his sister, he was not a fan of the clippers but did great. Less squirmy than his sister.
He did well for his bath and blow dry. He was also not a fan of me combing out his “pants” (just like his sis.)😆
I can’t wait to groom him and his sister again!! Love my Ragdolls! ♥️

I recommend every 6-8 weeks to stay budget friendly and still effective for reducing shedding. ♥️

Paris got a nail trim, gentle eye and ear cleaning, bath, blow dry, and comb out. She was also given a sanitary trim and I trimmed her toe tufts (to help her keep tidy). She was not a fan of the clippers but did great. Amazing for her bath, she even lay down for me towards the last rinse ♥️. She didn’t mind the blow dry. She was not a fan of me combing out her “pants.”I 😆 But that’s ok.
I can’t wait to groom her and her brother again!!

Naya is a very cute exotic medium hair. Today is her first groom. Though she was not as excited as I was lol. She’s a sweetheart.
She had some matting and received a belly shave and sanitary trim to help keep her tidy and mat free. Smaller mats removed (the red spot seen with the dryer). Mats tug at the skin and cause damage. She will heal now without the painful mats. ♥️

She was great for her nail trim. She did great for her first bath! She was degreased (the root cause of matting) and blown dry. Gently cleaned eyes and ears. Combed her out after. She did so good for everything, minus clippers. But mats hurt, I don’t judge.

Phantom, the handsome Maine C**n, got groomed today! This is his second groom with me. 😻

He was tachypneic (breathing fast) today when I first took him out of his carrier. Had a doctor take a quick listen since Maine C**ns are prone to HCM. All clear! Doctor says to take the groom slow and watch him, which I do anyway. ♥️

He received a nail trim, good degreasing bath and blow dry. He is still healing from a Seresto collar that irritated his skin. I applied Hydrogel to it today, along with his ear which had a scab. Ear is itchy. No infection. His left eye had some discharge. I alerted his owner. His owner loves him and takes AMAZING care of him. No mats. 🥰

He fell asleep in my cage dryer hehe. So cute.

He LOVES to be combed. He purrs, head boops, and makes biscuits. ♥️ Can’t wait to groom him again in the fall! He is a big fluffy angel!! 😻😻😻😻

Chloe the gorgeous Himalayan received her lion cut today so she can stay cool for the hot summer we’re having.

She mostly enjoyed her warm massaging bath today. Eyes and ears clean , mani pedi, and blow dry. Those boots with the fur 😻 She loves to be combed! She is such a sweetie.

Mochie got his second comb cut with me today! He is adorable!! He is a Persian angel. ♥️ He got a sanitary shave and toe tuft trim (avoid litter scatter and slipping on hard floors). Toe tufts can get matted too.
He did very well for his bath and blow dry. Can’t wait to groom him again! 😻 Such a good boy. He can be a model. ♥️

Brownie had her first full coat groom with me today! 😻
Her owners already removed her matting off of her back, so she was more comfortable. She did great for her nail trim and gentle eye and ear cleaning. She was a nervous girl for her bath and blow dry but overall she did great for her first time!

She had lots of dandruff and is shedding - check out the tub creature hehe - this is why cats need a bath!
*It helps to remove their excess oil (which is the root cause of matting) and helps to release the dead undercoat they are shedding.
She could have ingested 1/3 of that! Wild.
Can’t wait to see her again! 😻 Little tortie angel! No tortitude with her. She LOVES to be combed. She rolled around and rubbed on me. Such a love. ♥️

Nellie had her second groom with me today. 😻
She was given a wide belly shave and sanitary trim to help keep her clean and tidy. She got a ruff trim (best for messy eaters) and I trimmed her “pants.” 😆
She was done with me for this groom but I know she will be happy at home.

Today Milo had his very first full coat groom! Look at his gorgeous coat! 😻
No more mats for Milo! He received a sanitary trim to help him keep tidy (butt and groin). He did incredible for his bath and blow dry, nail trim, gentle eye and ear cleaning.
Gabapentin helped keep him relaxed the entire groom. Such a good cat! I can’t wait to groom him again. ♥️ He went home clean and mat free. 🥰

Super handsome Maine Coon named Phantom got groomed today! He is a beautiful young boy. 😻 He received a good degreasing bath and blow dry. I pretreated his coat prior to his bath. He has stud tail - very common. It’s an overproduction of oil on the tail. Minor fur loss there. He is also healing from a Seresto collar that irritated his skin. Groomed “Mano” today! She was pretty badly pelted, the most severe form of fur matting. To help alleviate some of her discomfort, I gave her a lion cut. She needed sedated for the shaving as she is pretty aggressive, unfortunately. She was awake for the bath and blow dry. She had a very oily coat and a lot of dandruff. She has skin damage from the matting. She was also constipated, poor thing. We gave her some relief from her abdominal pain as well in the vet clinic. “Dinah” is a cream color Persian who was in serious need of grooming! She was pelted. This occurs when a cat gets a mat (a tangle of fur) and they continue shedding as usual and the tangle gets bigger and bigger. Cats are naturally oily, so their fur with stick. The mats then fuse together and form a large solid mat. That’s the last picture. She needed a lion cut to start fresh. She was well behaved for her bath and blow dry. She loved to be combed!
