Mr Foxy (formerly Pluto) will be returning from a failed adoption trial run today. Unfortunately, this sweet boy needs a little more work with leash training and house breaking. He is crate trained and did well with us while here at SAAD but he does have a tendency to mark in new places.

Would really love to find Foxy somewhere to go, even temporarily. While I adore Foxy, my personal dog absolutely loathes him and the two of them create a lot of unnecessary stress for one another.

Made a post the other day about how our home has felt so empty since the Chi family & Mr Sausage left for foster/adopt. Shortly after posting, I saw these babies in need at the Pickens County Humane Society and simply couldn’t resist! 🐾

Please welcome Radar (tan) & Ethel (chocolate) to the SAAD crew. These sweet littles were confiscated by animal control after being found in a home with over 80 other dogs in deplorable conditions. They are already warming up and making friends here with Ranger, Wiggles, & Rusty!

Radar and Ethel will be up for adoption after they have time to decompress and settle in a bit more. Reminder that Sick As A Dog Rescue SC is still currently waiving adoption fees on all dogs 💜

From owner: Male 7 years old. Knows basic commands in English/ Korean. Sit, stay, come...... Gets along with my other pitbull but shows food aggression. Doesn't like cats. Never shown aggression towards humans but does give protective barks when someone knocks or approaches when owner is unaware. ISO new home.

My sweet friend Jarrod-Kristie Adams Long reached out to me last week about this pretty pup at Edgefield County Animal Shelter. Ella had previously been used as a breeding dog and was found tied to a cinder block in a graveyard.

Everyone please welcome Miss Ella to the SAAD crew. She is the 64th dog rescued by Sick As A Dog Rescue SC since May of this year. Ella did wonderfully on her first trip to Lowe’s with us this morning. She is great with kids and is ISO of her furever home! 💜

When the old timer finds a toy during potty break and turns into a cute little sea lion cub 🦭

Excuse the eye boogies, Mr Grover just arrived yesterday and he has been decompressing in our senior room (i.e. my bedroom 🤣) where it’s calm and quiet. Grover has some upper respiratory stuff going on and there will be plenty of time for baths a little later on when he’s feeling better.

For now, we’re just taking the time to enjoy seeing this senior guy happy and playing 💜

In addition to the generous donations of dog food and other supplies that we have been so fortunate to obtain recently… we’ve also blessed with the largest monetary donation that SAAD has ever received. Thank you so much Katie!

We have multiple upcoming vet visits that this will help out with tremendously! We also have some major upgrades coming to our indoor kennel area so stay tuned!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our SAAD dogs: Miss Luna/Lola/Lulu.

This pretty girl was pulled from the euthanasia list back in June, heartworm positive and with a host of skin problems. Lou immediately went into foster care where her committed foster mom, Karen, worked tirelessly with her to overcome her issues. Thanks to Karen, Lou was able to beat heartworms and tested negative in August.

Sweet Lola girl passed away in her sleep yesterday morning, surrounded by those who knew and loved her best. Please keep Karen in your prayers. I could not have asked for a better mom for Lou. Karen, we love you and appreciate your heart, your compassion, your knowledge, and your unwavering dedication to Luna-Lola. “Thank you” will never be enough.

Rest in peace over that Rainbow Bridge, smiley Lulu girl. We will meet again one beautiful day 🌈

Mama Mia, who went on her adoption trial run at our event last Sunday, has been officially

I am so happy for this sweet girl! She is truly the perfect dog; both Alyssa and I just KNEW she would make someone the best companion! Way to go Mia Bia! 💜

Thank you Colin for loving this pretty baby as much as we all do! Thank you Bruised Not Broken Animal Rescue for saving Mia’s life and giving her the chance to find furever! What a wonderful happily ever after story 🥹

Being a relatively new organization, it’s not often that we have been able to give back. However, after receiving such a large donation from Boxer Butts last Saturday…I knew that we were meant to share this incredible blessing!

So far, we have donated dry kibble to two other rescues and to many of our own foster families. If anyone is in need of dog food, please let me know! ❤️
