Free to Akwesasne members residing in any Akwesasne district. Winter Cat Shelter Workshop. We receive many messages from people who have been caring for cats since spring/summer. While we wish that we had an actual shelter to house all the cats, at this time we do not. This is a way to help those community cats. The next step you can do is spay and neuter them. We currently can fund 20 shelters, we are looking for a business sponsor or individuals to help pay for more shelters to be built. If we receive a donation we can have some kids come to the class and build the cat shelter as community service hours. Please message us if you can sponsor and help the rez cats of Akwesasne have a warm shelter for the winter. 🐾❤️🐈‍⬛🐾🐈
Community cats need love and compassion too! They didn’t ask to be left uncared for. Let’s do what we can to help them.

Tribal members had first shot at sign-ups and many did indeed register. We plan on 40 neuters on Saturday followed by 11 spays on Sunday. Outstanding !

The tasks never stop for animal based organizations! We are so fortunate to have such wonderful support from so many places and people. We drove to connecticut 2 weeks ago to pick up donations from Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic. For the next month we will be setting up our new spay and neuter clinic and getting ready to spay and neuter lots of cats in the upcoming year! 🐾❤️🐈‍⬛❤️🐾

Another Mukluk adoption update from his new owner: See the picture I think that explains it all.❤️ This makes us so happy to know he is now in a wonderful home and has a sister whom he has obviously bonded with!
