We are excited to announce Dr. Jamie Franks will be joining the Hohenwald Animal Hospital Team starting Monday Jan 6th.
We would like to introduce you to Dr. Jaime Franks (some of you all may already know her).
Dr. Jamie Franks grew up in Hohenwald and always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She started working for Dr. Scott (her first and most favorite mentor) as a kennel volunteer at 16 and has been in the field for almost 17 years now. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 2019 with her DVM degree. She has worked as a mixed animal practitioner for over 5 years now. She has a passion for small animal surgery and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, kayaking, baking and riding her motorcycle.

Update on Hours for November and December:
We will Be CLOSED on Thanksgiving 11/28/24
Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, we will be OPEN from 8am - 1 pm.
Christmas Day and New Years Day, we will be CLOSED.
We are still accepting Farm Call Appointments on all Tuesdays in Nov and December, except for 12/24 and 12/31.
We will be OPEN for Technician / Assistant ONLY Appointments (NO DOCTOR IN OFFICE) on these dates:
November 30th
December 14th
December 28th
Services offered on these days will be:
(As long as your pet is Up To Date on Rabies Vaccine Prior to Visit)- Vaccines (NOT RABIES)- Nail Trims- A**l Gland Expression- Routine Ear Cleaning- Heartworm test- Refill Chronic Medications- Refill Flea and Tick Medication- Refill Heartworm prevention - Must be UTD
We will be happy to make an appointment for your pet to
be seen by a doctor the next date and time available.
** If your pet is sick and needs to be seen on one of these dates, we can refer you to
Linden Animal Hospital - Linden, Maury County Animal Hospital - Columbia, Blue Pearl Emergency Hospital - Franklin, or Veterinary Emergency Group - Franklin

Team Member Spotlight: Ellie Grace
Ellie Grace started with us this summer, while she was on summer break from school to become a Veterinary Technician. She is currently with us part time until she graduates. She is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She is very kind and patient with clients and patients.
We are so grateful to have Ellie as part of the team and can not wait till she graduates and joins us full time.

Team Member Spotlight: Jodie
Jodie is one of our hardworking Veterinary Assistants. She can also be found helping clients up front as a receptionist. Jodie is very helpful and knowledgeable, with several years of prior experience.
Jodie is a mother and a wife with 3 beautiful daughters and a son and has a variety of animals at home from horses to cats. She has just recently adopted a 3 legged kitten.
We appreciate all her hard work, team work and experience that she brings to the team.

Team Member Spotlight: Chloe
Chloe W began working with us in 2012 as a Veterinary Assistant. Chloe is always compassionate, patient and helpful with clients and pets. Chloe is the smiling face that greets you when you come through the door and the sweet voice on the other end of the phone as she is now our full time receptionist. Chloe goes the extra mile to ensure our clients needs are taken care of. We appreciate all of her hard work and dedication to our hospital and to this field.

Shyrell is one of our hardworking Veterinary Assistants. Shyrell is very sweet, kind, patient, hard working and creative. She is always ready to lend a helping hand where is it needed. She has been a wonderful addition to our team. Shyrell is married and a mother of 3 beautiful daughters. Shyrell came to us with a background in nursing, she is a certified nursing assistant. We appreciate her drive for team work and are happy to watch her continue to learn and develop skills.

Kelli is a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Kelli is so compassionate and always keeping our patients well-being in the forefront. She is always going the extra step to ensure a job well done and providing the best for all our patients.
Kelli is a hardworking mother of 3, 2 sons and a daughter. She also has a precious grandson. Kelli has an assortment of animals at home, most of which are rescues.
We appreciate and love all of Kelli's hardwork, compassion and dedication to this profession.

October 14th - 20th is Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week. At Hohenwald Animal Hospital, we have absolutely the most dedicated, kind, caring technicians and assistants. They work tirelessly every day to care for sick or injured pets. We want to highlight our wonderful employees during this week.
Amy Skelton began working with us in 2005. She graduated from Columbia State and is a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician. Amy does it all at the clinic from large to small animals, and is our number 1 cat wrangler. She is married and has a precious daughter, and numerous pets! We appreciate all her hard work year after year!
