We are heartbroken with the passing of our dear friend, Jake. Sarah has been grooming Jake since he was just a young lad. His photo has been lovingly hanging in our shop since we opened. His dad Kevin has been a loyal customer for over a decade following us everywhere. We will miss you Jake, and have enjoyed every second we spent together ❤️

Hi everyone, I have a client that needs to rehome his dog, Koda. He has medical issues that are making him unable to keep Koda. I have reached out to several shepherd rescues, with no response. So now I’m hoping Facebook can find a miracle for Koda. Sarah and I started working with Koda the week that we opened the shop a year and a half ago. You can find a pinned post on our page talking about him. In short, Koda spent the first 6 years of his life chained up in someone’s yard. Most of his teeth are gone from chewing on his chain and fences. He got put into a rescue down south (no longer open) and Koda’s dad found him and brought him home.
This is not going to be a sugar-coated post. Koda had a very rough life before meeting his dad, and it shows. He is 8 years old and 120 pounds of big, strong DOG. He is extremely dog aggressive. He can be aggressive towards people he doesn’t know. Koda cannot be in a home with any other animals or children. He is a one owner or a couple of adults kind of dog. But if you bring him into your house and be his owner, he will be your best friend and a fierce protector. Someone breaks into your house? Koda will give them a fast pass to heaven.
What I’m getting at here is, Koda is not going to change for anybody. He needs a strong and confident owner to lead him. I don’t think any amount of training will make him like other dogs or people he doesn’t know. He only likes Sarah and I because we spent about 2 months feeding him donuts once a week before we could even touch him. He has now become our BFF and likes to get groomed. He has never tried to bite us, but it’s because we spent a LONG time earning his trust. If you feed him and house him, he WILL love you and be your best friend. He sidled up to his dad immediately when he was adopted.
Koda does not do crates. He will eat any crate you put him in, so don’t even try. He is house broken, and doesn’t chew up your belongings. All he’s interested in is food and lying on the couch. If he needs to go out, he will tell you. Once you are on his good side, he is a lovely dog. He sheds A LOT and needs regular grooming. If he’s too far away to come to see us, we will find a groomer to work with him.
Koda is in great health, but could probably stand to lose a few pounds. Up to date on all vaccines, and neutered.
This boy has had a HARD life. Now that he has settled in with someone, he needs to find a new home again. It’s simply not fair. If I didn’t already have a dog, Koda would be on my couch with me right now. I love this dog, and see the love he has to give. Please help me find someone for him to spend his last few years with. He will not do well in a shelter environment, so we are trying to find someone to adopt him personally.
