🎊 Aiken 2025 has begun! 🎊 All 16 horses have made their snow bird trip down to the beautiful Hilltop Farm in Aiken, SC for winter training. It takes a village and we could not have done it without everyone coming together to safely transport this wonderful group of equines. 💪
🙏🙏🙏 Huge shoutouts to , , Leigh, Nancy and Pete, and for making the drive down successful as well as for making sure all went well with the group who WA’s picked up by

ISO - Free lease horse to add to small lesson program.

Looking for 15.2 h or taller horse that can become a loving part of our eventing lesson program. Horse does not need to have eventing experience, but must be safe on ground and wtc with beginning adult riders. Would be asked to jump starter level and below. This is the perfect job for a horse looking for a step down from competitive life or if you love your horse but no longer have the time to keep them going.

Many references available of owners who have leased horses to our program. How will be treated like our own with a big fan club doting on them! Please send details and recent video via pm.

💪🌟🎉Not nearly enough photos to properly congratulate all our riders who competed in the cold rain at Azrael Acres this weekend. So many successes throughout the day with a few being-
Suzanne and Scout becoming a Novice level pair and ending their first go with a second place. Christine and Mina dominating their first BN level from start to finish. Meg and Cole winning their starter level with Jill and Poppy coming in with a close 3rd finish. Giada and Bishop became the newest pair to complete their first 3 phase together for 4th in the elementary division. Elsa ending the day with a flair with her and Mina completing another fabulous dressage only score.

A very special thank you to Janet for being super groom for everyone.

No matter how the rides went- know that I am most proud of how well you all work together as a team. I cannot speak enough about the comments that I get when people notice how much you all genuinely love each other and your horses. That is better than any ribbon and I am proud to be your trainer 💗

Duties include feeding, turnout, cleaning barn and paddocks, turn in, and other general farm upkeep. Happy to train horse experience if needed. Employee must be reliable and willing to work in all weather conditions. Our favorite thing here is celebrating birthdays (of both our horses and our people!) so all interested in applying must love food! 🎉🎂🥳

HIRING RIDER POSITION-
In search of a kind, capable rider to join our team. Position will mainly help with exercising and training horses in full eventing training program alongside head trainer, Karen. Grooming, tacking, lunging, and riding various types of event horses and young horses in training. Must be available Sunday-Thursday and have reliable transportation. Riding experience should include knowledge of dressage at least up to 2nd level and ability to jump 3' courses comfortably. Opportunity to teach lessons part time as well as work additional hours assisting barn staff when needed. Rider will have ability to cross country school many horses, have opportunities to clinic with visiting instructors, as well as potentially compete client horses in competitions.

Willing to discuss board for personal horse. Housing not provided. Team oriented atmosphere and a great position for a young professional to experience the ropes of a 30+ horse boarding facility with emphasis in dressage and eventing.

Way to go Janet and Mella! Such a deserving win for an amazing pair. Thanks for letting us be a part of the village and celebrating with you 🎉🎉🎉

Janet Kenton-Walker and her 16-year-old Belgian mare have a big reason to celebrate their win in the Beginner Novice B division at the Genesee Valley Riding and Driving Club Horse Trials this past weekend 🥳 Not only did they finish on their amazingly low dressage score of 17.4, but that score made them this week's Winner's Circle Wednesday pair!

"Just finishing on my dressage score would have been enough," said Janet. "To finish on an Ingrid Klimke/Michael Jung kind of score is a lifetime experience. With all the ups and downs you go through in this sport, a weekend like the one I had at GVRDC makes it all worthwhile and keeps me coming back. Thanks to the village that makes it possible, but mostly thanks to Mella!"

Assistant Rider/Groom:
Work side by side with head trainer, Karen, Monday through Friday. Position requires horse experience and strong preference given to riders that are comfortable working with and riding young/green horses. Activities include daily training of horses in full work, hands on horse care and first aid, lessons provided, and opportunities for XC schooling and showing available. Great opportunity for an ambitious rider to gain first hand experience in a supportive and thriving lesson and training program. Benefits and pay for this position dependent on experience.
