Do you know the signs of dehydration in pets?
It's important to recognize the symptoms so you can act quickly:
1. Dry Gums: Check if your pet's gums are sticky or dry.
2. Lethargy: Notice any unusual tiredness or lack of energy.
3. Sunken Eyes: Look for eyes that appear sunken or dull.
4. Loss of Skin Elasticity: Gently pinch the skin at the back of your pet's neck; if it doesn't quickly return to normal, your pet may be dehydrated.
If you suspect your pet is dehydrated, contact your vet immediately.

That's right! Xylitol is quite deadly to cats and dogs! Why? Xylitol causes blood sugar to drop to life-threatening levels and even acute liver failure. What is xylitol? Xylitol is a common sugar alternative found in food ingredients (such as peanut butter, candy, gum, and more) we consume on a regular basis. It does wonders for us, but it works quite the opposite for our pets! This is why we recommend you check the labels on your food and keep anything harmful to pets out of their reach. If your pet does happen to ingest xylitol or anything with xylitol, here is what you do: Call your veterinarian to induce vomiting immediately and call ASPCA poison hotline to determine the next treatment and monitoring steps.
We get how easy it is to forget to give your pet their parasite prevention. So, we wanted to share this fun tip! What do you do to help remind you to give your pet their parasite prevention on time?
