We extend our sincerest gratitude to the exceptional young men from Hope College in Holland Michigan. The Cosmopolitan Fraternity generously volunteered their time and service on two separate occasions within the same week, both times following significant snowstorms. We were deeply appreciative of their cheerful, friendly, polite, and positive demeanor. The cats and dogs received ample affection, and we were efficiently shoveled out from the snow. Truly remarkable individuals!

Friends, we have some very cold and wet weather coming today. Please be sure to keep your pets inside. Shelter is so important to keep them safe. If you can provide shelter to strays, please do!

A cold front will bring in snow squalls this evening. At the moment it looks like the main squalls will happen after rush hour traffic so that is a good thing. After the cold front comes through it will stay windy and wind chills will dip into the single digits.

Key points.
-Snow squalls mainly after 6 this evening. The entire event should only last a few hours.
-They will be intense, so you could go from nothing to near whiteout conditions in a short time.
-Winds will be blowing 20-30mph, which will leave us with windchills in the single digits.
There "could" be flash freezing on the roads, but a lot of times when the wind is blowing so hard it dries the roads up a bit. Just use your common sense.
-Snow totals will generally be a half inch to two inches. There could be a few locally higher amounts, mainly in the Irish Hills and the thumb.

Overall not a big system and nothing out of the ordinary for a Michigan winter.

"From Pain to Play: This Poodle's Transformation"
He came to us in pain, covered in mats, and had never known a grooming brush. But with your support, we said "yes" to this sweet 2-year-old standard poodle, and today, he’s a new dog!

He’s been pampered at Petcuts Grooming in Zeeland MI. An amazing place! He is well-fed, and surrounded by love—and he even has a foster buddy to play with. He's now the happy, healthy dog he was always meant to be. 💖
