When they have reached out to help us... We reach out to help them!
Please come out Tuesday night for dinner and show your support to this family and our wonderful, local, loving family at Crazy Horse Steakhouse and Saloon !
We love our community!!
Crazy Horse is family, and we stand with family in times of need.
Rachael has been the joy and lifeblood of this restaurant for over 20 years, serving our community selflessly with a warm smile and a joy that bubbles over all who have met her and remember her. The same is true of her husband, Fluffy—he fills every room with laughter, loud love, and the perfect dose of mischief.
On Sunday, December 1st, Fluffy collapsed at home, unable to breathe due to several large blood clots in his lungs. He was rushed to the hospital and soon transferred to Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. Since then, he has faced multiple complications, including an infection in his brain and multiple strokes.
Fluffy spent 18 days in the ICU at Meijer Heart Center, battling numerous challenges during his stay—surgeries, a tracheotomy, ventilator weaning, a feeding tube, and a month of antibiotics. On December 18th, he transferred to Blodgett Select Specialty Rehab, where he spent just under three weeks. His progress during this time would not have been possible without Rachael, who has been by his side every single day, advocating for his care.
We know we have a community that will show up for Fluffy and for Rachael, and show up big. Fluffy’s recovery will be a long journey, and as medical bills continue, household expenses also continue, and the reality of this new life continues. Now, more than ever, they need our support. Please join us from 11 AM-9PM, knowing that simply by showing up, you will be making a difference for this incredible man and his family.
If you cannot make it to dinner, please consider pinning a dollar to the wall—every single one will be taken down and given directly to the Kouw family.
