UPDATE! THIS BOY IS BEING ADOPTED!! This little 8 yr old boy has been an inside only dog for years! He never went for walks or got to hang outside on a nice day. Today is his first time out on leash and he did great. He walked into my home and was sweet to all my fosters. He is a cuddle bug and just wants to be loved. His first vet visit will be Wednesday where our vet will update his shots, (rabies and distemper) Heartworm test, senior blood panel, stool sample checked, microchipped. He has terrible skin and ear infections. I have never seen anything like it. He will be getting plenty of baths and soothing meds to help him. If you are looking for a shadow, he is your man.

Meet our sweet and spunky resident, Newton! Doesn’t he have the funniest way of saying hello? Woowoo to you too Newty!😆❤️ Newton is an owner surrender who has been with us since September. He is 4.5 years old, crate trained, fully vaccinated, has tested negative for heartworm, and is on monthly preventative. Newton was recently involved in an altercation when an off leash dog approached him while he was walking on a leash with a volunteer. Unfortunately this was a huge set back for sweet Newty, but our lovely trainers at Paradigm Dog School have been working hard to get him back on track to being the best boy! Just look at him go!😍 Newt is such a smart boy and a fast learner! He is a pro with basic commands like sit, watch me, down, stay, off, heel, and come when you’re called. He is in the process of learning place, drop it, and leave it as well! His favorite activities include: rolling around in the grass, playing tug, sun bathing, belly scratches, and cuddling with his favorite humans! Newton is desperately looking for a loving home with an experienced owner who is capable of setting boundaries and limitations, and who knows how to cater to his unique needs. He adores his humans, and would thrive as the only animal in the home. If this sweet boy pulls on your heart strings as much as he does ours, don’t hesitate to reach out and schedule a visit! This handsome boy is Newtie. He is 4 yrs old and an American Bulldog. He was surrendered because he does not like cats. We were also told he is dog selective. He has been nothing but a gentleman since coming to BestPals. He is loving, affectionate and looking for a best pal of his own. A fenced in yard would be ideal, no other pets and someone who is looking for a snuggle buddy. When we walk him and pass a cat or dog, I just say leave it and he continues on his walk.
