Every year, a donation is made to honor the beloved pets that have crossed the rainbow bridge in our practice. We remember them and their families today by donating to the Dr. Don Sharp Memorial Fund through the Animal Welfare Society to provide urgent veterinary care to animals in need.

Thank you No Bowl Empty 2 Pet Food Pantry for a wonderfully hosted event and all the volunteers who came to help!

That is a wrap! A very successful rabies clinic in the books with 56 pets vaccinated & nails trimmed! Folks started arriving at 11am and the last vaccine was administered at 1:45pm. All the pets were well behaved and everyone was very patient. Huge Thanks to Bonnie Brae Veterinary & Fluffin Around Mobile Dog Grooming . Super sized appreciation to our amazing volunteers for all their hard work keeping things running smooth & helping to pack up at the end. This event goes in the W column! Now I need a nap.

Due to the generosity of our partners, our Rabies Clinic this Saturday will offer free vaccinations!

The weather is looking great for our Rabies Vaccination Clinic this Saturday, October 19th from 12Noon to 2pm.

Just a few reminders:
1. Dogs MUST be on leash
2. Cats MUST be in a carrier
3. Parking is at Friendship Park. A volunteer will help you Park & cross the road.
4. We will have 75 vaccines. Vaccines are provided on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis. You will be given a number when you check in.
5. Fluffin' Around will be providing FREE nail trims but I encourage you to give them a small tip in appreciation.
6. Maine Way Franks food truck will be here offering delicious lunches for purchase
7. FRIENDLY DOGS ONLY. If in doubt MUZZLE UP for the safety & comfort if your dog, other people/pets in attendance, & event staff.
8. All pets will receive a 3 year vaccine ONLY if you provide proof they have had their 1 year within the last 13 months.
9. Be kind, Be Courteous, Be patient or you will be asked to leave.

3 year vaccine available with proof of prior vaccine.

We are honored to once again be partnering with No Bowl Empty 2 Pet Food Pantry to bring a low-cost rabies clinic to the community!

With the start of September we are closing in on Dog Licensing season. Municipalities & the State of Maine will begin 2025 Dog Licensing in mid October & current rabies vaccination is required! Don't put it off until the holidays when we are all running around with To Do List so long we wonder how we will ever get it all done. It has been 3 years since we opened our doors… and you opened yours to us! Since then, we have cared for over 200 patients in our practice. We are beyond grateful for all our clients for trusting us with the care of your beloved pets! At this time, we currently have a waitlist for new clients. Please be careful out there with this heat wave!

Higher than 80°F outside? ☀️ If yes – DO NOT heavily exercise your dogs outside! A walk in the cooler hours of the day is fine or a slow meander when it’s hot.

If your pet is at an increased risk of overheating, it’s especially important to monitor them closely while outside on humid days.

We just started Summer so I know it is weird to talk about Fall but here I go...
No Bowl Empty 2 Pet Food Pantry is teaming up with Dr. Ponzetti from Bonnie Brae Veterinary to host a Low Cost Rabies Vaccine Clinic at the pantry in October. I am working on securing free nail trims & ear cleanings for the clinic as well. The clinic will be open to the public.
