It’s with a heavy heart I’m writing this post, As we all know Dr. Wilson suffered a medical Emergancy the end of May, he had been in the hospital recovering, unfortunately due to complications he has passed away. His family is asking in lieu of cards or flowers a donation be made to the Disabled American Veterans charitable service trust. Please keep his family in your thoughts.

06/01/2021

Starting tomorrow Tuesday June 1st our office unfortunately will be unavailable to see patients. Dr. Wilson has himself had a medical Emergancy will be out of the office for 6 to 8 weeks. We will have a staff member in the office checking messages, filling prescriptions etc. We are currently looking for a veterinarian to help while Dr. Wilson is unable to practice, in the meantime, we will do our best to fill the needs of our clients. Please be patient as we are trying to accommodate all of our patients, and please keep Dr. Wilson, and his family in your prayers!!

With the growing concern of the corona virus, and with the sanctions being put in place to stop the spread of the virus, we have have decided as a business to close temporarily to aide in steps necessary to help in the spread of the virus. We will be open 3/17 from 8am to 4pm, and then will close for approximately 2 weeks. We do have a phone answering system in place, we will be returning phone calls for medicine refills, and will be taking phone calls to book appointments after April 7th. If you need assistance with medication or appointments PLEASE leave a message! We will have Emergancy numbers listed on our answering machine but unfortunately with the concern of the virus we CANNOT guarantee the availability of these practices. We look forward to serving our community in the future and hope to see our patients soon.

If you had an appointment scheduled with us and did not receive a phone call your message machine was full or your numbers were not updated in our files or system.

Sincerely,

Dr. Wilson, Dr. Flores and staff

We need your help! While we LOVE our handsome Jack- he does not love living here at the hospital. Jack isn't a big fan of dogs, which is a difficult position for a kitty that lives at a vet office...

Can you help find him a home? Please spread the word that this feisty, sweet little three legger needs a family! He needs no special care other than a dog-free household- we'd appreciate the help in spreading the word!

Help Handsome Jack! His owners never came forward, so he is in need of a new family.

This fella is SO SWEET. Unfortunately, his run in with the car did some damage. His broken leg would require multiple pins and plates and an orthopedic specialist. He is also missing the bottom 1/3 of his tongue. His 72 hours have passed, which means euthanasia since his family never appeared.

HOWEVER- We plan to fix him and find him a new family! We will amputate Jack's broken leg this afternoon and neuter him. His tongue will heal with time, but he might always be a messy eater :)

Anyone willing to give this loving boy a home, or contribute to his surgery and recovery, please contact AHOH at 637-0031!

Can you help keep the shelter dogs warm this winter?

Hi everyone! It's Logan here! Important news!

My dad says the weather is gonna get colder now. And he tells me that dogs at the shelter sleep on blankets on the floor. So I told him, “Dad, we hafta find a way to get them some beds.”

Well, it took a little time. But he found a way! Here are the details...

There is a non-profit organization called Animal Rescue Aid in Atlanta, Georgia. And they love fur-babies a lot. So they came up with a program to allow shelters to get raised beds really inexpensively ($26.95). They will even ship them to us for free. And the best part is, you can help!

You go to this page (https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/animalrescueaid?code=ARA%20Main%20Website%20Button) to help, and there are only five steps!

Step One – Decide how much you want to help. You can click a box or fill in an amount, then say whether it is a one time or recurring gift.

Step Two – Tell them how you are helping. Just click “For Pet Beds” or “Where Needed Most” and THEN BE SURE TO PUT “Hollister Police Animal Care & Services” IN THE LITTLE BOX THAT SAYS “Enter the name of the shelter/rescue group you'd like to be the beneficiary of your gift.”

Step Three – Use PayPal, a credit card or a debit card on the secure Network for Good fund raising platform.

Step Four – Decide whether you want to add 3% to your gift to cover the transaction fees.

Step Five – Click the “DONATE NOW” button.

I know you love fur-babies, and I remember last year a lot of you asked how you could help. Our goal this year is to get a bed in every kennel and to have plenty of extra bed toppers on hand so the fur-babies in our care never have to sleep on cold concrete again.

Thank you!

Have any old bath towels you aren't using? We want them!
We are constantly using towels for our patients, and we're in need of some more- we don't care what they look like, as long as they are usable! THANK YOU!

Steve's story- Anyone who is a sucker for broken kittens with a happy ending, enjoy!

A wonderful client with an enormous heart brought us this semi-feral, flea ridden, greasy kitten with horrible infected lacerations in his leg. It took three weeks of daily treatments to get Steve well- three weeks of the Trimbles getting attached. Now he's a member of the Trimble household!

AHOH loves happy endings. We'd love to hear your rescue stories!
