Bobbi is on our minds…
Through no fault of his own, Bobbi is an overlooked kitten.
Bobbi’s shy but warms up quickly to people who go slow and quiet.
Once he’s past his shyness he’s a lover. He loves being pet, and loves treats of any kind, especially Churu treats. Sometimes, though, because someone new enters the room, Bobbi hides in a cat tree.
He would likely benifit greatly from a quiet home. He gets along with all the other kittens in the kitten room.
Call today to meet BOBBI!

How Was Your Weekend?
Two kittens were adopted together on Sunday to a very sweet family who stayed for about an hour looking at kittens trying to pick which one would best fit their family.
Biscuit practically melted into their arms while falling asleep multiple times.
And just as they were originally going to just get 1 kitten, they fell in love with a second one, Zelda! Who can resist a kitty who sits on Dad’s head?
Congratulations to all!

Kermit the Kat ~
Kermit came to our rescue from the local shelter where he was treated for the foxtail in his eye and wounds on his neck. And, because of his injuries, he has a wonky eye and a bit of a head tilt.
Kermit is a giant sweetheart who wants nothing more than to investigate his surrounding and get pets. He is a huge sweetie and loves kids but we believe that he would do best in a house with older kids. While he does love people, he also values his alone time.
Won’t you visit Kermit today?
We open at noon on Sundays and close at 3 pm.

George is a medium-haired tabby and white 3 year-old.
Call our office and ask to meet George! (831) 634-1191.

With the brief rains 🌧️ that passed our way, we’ve had several volunteers out here to walk our dogs 🐕 and play with our kittens.
This local Kindergartener came out with her mama and had a wonderful time with these kitties earlier this morning.

Not roses or daisies or carnations but instead here’s
VIOLET!
Violet has a story to tell. She came to Pet Friends as a kitten and was adopted out in 2018. She was then
returned 5 and a half years later due to circumstances unrelated to her. She came in weighing just short of 14 pounds (kinda big).
She reached a high of 15 pounds and was put on a diet that was monitored quite closely.
After 7 months, Violet was down to 14lbs. Another 2 months passed and she was down to 12 pounds! The diet and her portion control was working!
Just last week, 10 months after her arrival back to us, Violet weighed in at a healthy 11 pounds!
In addition to her weight loss story, we are compelled to tell you that Violet is a NICE CAT (who will tell you when she’s had enough)!
We’re open Tuesday-Sunday. We close at 3:00 except on Saturday (we close at 4:00). Come on out and meet Violet!

Vinnie got adopted!
This teeny lil’ thing was scooped up from a local construction site (along with his brother-friend, Vic) by a Good Samaritan. After he was checked out, fostered, and vetted, he slipped into our Kitten Room and played with the others.
This Hollister resident was captured by Vinnie’s sweet personality. The two will live with his other cat, Gato!
Congratulations! 🎈

Brownie, the 2 year-old Siamese cat, is waiting ⏰ for You!
She happens to be the mama of Cupcake 🧁, featured in a recent post, which makes Brownie a Gramma! 👵🏼 It’s not too often that we know the ancestry per se of any of our 🐈 cats.
Brownie is a very sweet cat who enjoys following the staff around. She loves food and to be pet.
She might be the right kitty for you! Call our office (831) 634-1191 for more information. In the meantime, here are a couple of links of interest.
Might this be the month our sweet “Rock Star” mama kitty gets adopted? That she gets her own home with people who will cuddle and love her?
April, who is about a year old, is sweet, loves sun bathing, and finds cat trees to nap in. Her “Rock Star” status was discovered when she nursed another orphaned litter of 4 in addition to her own four!
Come out to Pet Friends and meet APRIL!

Even though the County Fair has ended, there is still one CUPCAKE left!
Cupcake is a sweet, beautiful, 8 month-old young cat, who herself just finished nursing her own litter.
Yes, you read that right: Cupcake birthed 7 kittens. Now that all her nursing duties are over, she would enjoy a new home for herself. She loves churu treats and to be pet.
Come on out to visit CUPCAKE and all her Kitty-Friends! Call our office at (831) 634-1191.

Wanda Forever ~
These two sisters came in to visit the kitties. Guess who they love!? Wanda!
However, it just so happens that these girls are friends with the family who adopted Winky, so they zipped on over.
Wanda is now their kitty. We think they’re going to have play dates with each other and their Kitties!

A San Benito County Pet Rescue & Adoption Center for Over 25 years
Our Page is a place to learn about our loving and sweet adoptable pets waiting for their forever home and the important work we do for rescue pets. Our passionate community work with cats, kittens, feral TNR and shelter dogs is provided by volunteers and a small dedicated staff of animal loving people who want to help make a difference in the lives of abandoned & homeless pets in San Benito County.
Our 5 acre property in Hollister, California is a shelter to over 50 pets on a daily basis and houses a Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic, providing services on Wednesdays with the hope of helping to minimize the overpopulation of pets in our community.
We love happy endings and the chance to share the union of a rescue pet with their forever family.
*Pet Friends and Rescue relies on donations alone to do our important work. You can help us make a difference in a Rescue Pets life by donating today. Please sign up to help out by becoming a “Friend of Pet Friends” by volunteering and kindly giving a monthly donation @ www.PetFriends.org
