it’s always amazing to me where these chickens find to lay their eggs. This little nest surprised me buried in our garden between the marigolds and cucumber plants.

A few additional things available at the u pick today. Brown turkey figs, black mission figs, lemon cucumbers, zucchini, English cucumbers, and jalapeños. Not to mention all of the wonderful Blenheim cucumbers. Come out and bring the family and enjoy the farm.

Upon further inspection of the fruits and vegetables the farm stand will not be open this weekend. Nothing is ready or ripe to put out. If anyone is in need of eggs though we do have them available for pick up by appointment only. PM for details

Very thankful to those that came out to our farm stand today and paid for what they picked up. I hope you truly enjoy your items.

Sorely disappointed in those of you that took items without paying for them I guess you really needed them. Small business owners put a lot of hard work into their products whether they are grown on a tree or otherwise.

Gotta add a few more touches to the stand, so Sunday will be our first trial run with our self serve farm stand. We will have it stocked by 10 am. Sunday morning. Items are limited since we are just heading into growing season. Looks like we will have eggs, radishes, small amount of loquats some Meyer lemons and possibly some tangerines. First come first serve. Cash or VENMO. 🍳

New addition on the farm. We will open the farm stand next weekend. The plan for now is to place items in the stand on Saturday mornings if we have eggs, fruits or vegetables available. Will post what we put out that morning.

We always plant more than we need. Keeps my mother, Donna Berlin busy and gets her out of the house. She loves the social part of selling the excess plants.

Slowly but surely coming together. Today I planted radish seeds, Napa cabbage plants and cauliflower plants. Peas are growing great. Beets and carrots are coming up. And the view is incredible. Even had a teenage deer stop by to say hello , but didn’t have a camera with me.

Progress not perfection. We had colds this weekend but couldn’t stay inside with such beautiful weather. In the 70’s all weekend. Planted a row of carrots and beets. Had to stop putting dirt in the long bed due to tractor struggling in the mud. High hopes for this years garden with all the beautiful, industrial raised beds coming together. Only 7 more to build. lol

Projects are never done. Last weekend we started building raised beds for our garden. Industrial raised beds that is. Our garden totals 1400 square feet but the weeds took over every year. Not to mention the gophers that would take out whole plants in one fell swoop.

We got a little carried away with chickens this year. This is the rest of the new crew. Well, kind of. We also have the three amigos I will try to get some pictures of them soon. We added 15 chickens to our flock this year.
